The Origin of Lu Opera in West Anhui

At present, the earliest class club that only knows Daoqi Opera (Lu Opera) is Zhangjiaban, which was built in the northeast township of Huoshan County in the eighth year of Daoguang in Qing Dynasty (1828). Lu opera is rich in aria, which can be divided into two categories: main melody and coloratura, with more than 100. It has beautiful melody, simple lyrics and strong local flavor. In the long-term spreading process, influenced by the customs, languages and appreciation habits of the Han nationality in various places, the West, Middle and East roads have been formed, showing three different characteristics and genres in art. Among them, Lu Opera in the West Road, centered on Lu 'an and Huoshan, has a high-pitched, loud and unrestrained singing style, and has retained more whispering singing methods in the tune, which is close to the charm of folk songs in western Anhui. Lu Opera in West Road spreads in Lu 'an, Huoshan, Shucheng, Feixi, Jinzhai and Yuexi in Anhui.

Luxi opera has been circulating for more than 200 years, but it has really ushered in the spring of art. After the founding of New China, Luxi Opera 1962 and 1982 were performed in Beijing respectively, which were warmly praised by the party and state leaders and the audience in the capital. In 2004-2005, the large-scale modern Lu opera "Liu Deng in West Anhui" was broadcast 13 times in the prime time of CCTV Opera Channel.
