The Oriental Gate, commonly known as the Qiuku Building, is known as the "first gate in the world" and enjoys a high reputation in the landmark industry. The East Gate is divided into two parts, the North Building and the South Building. It is a super high-rise building, gate-shaped, with a total height of 30 1.8m, a connecting height of 238m between the two parts of the building, curtain wall specifications of nearly 100 kinds16000m3, and a tiled area of about 15 standard football field.
The Oriental Gate won the title of "the most complicated super high-rise building in China"; "The highest infinity pool in China"; "The highest crossing of Tianhe in China"; "The highest aerial Soviet garden in China"; "The 18th China Civil Engineering Zhan Tianyou Award" and other honors.
Value importance:
As one of the super high-rise buildings with the most complicated structure in China, the Oriental Gate integrates traditional culture with modern architecture through simple geometric curve processing, and inherits Suzhou history and culture to the greatest extent.
As a landmark building in the core area of West Lake CBD, the Oriental Gate has attracted much attention from the beginning of planning and design. Yang Xiu, chairman of Tiandi Group, the main investor of the project, believes that the Oriental Gate is "a new starting point for ancient China to go to the world and a new gateway for the world to understand the East".
