Difference between PPH operation and traditional operation
First of all, I have never done PPH, but my department has about 300 PPH operations every year, so I can talk about some patients' personal feelings.
The difference between PPH and traditional surgery lies in less trauma and faster recovery. This is also the focus of publicity in many hospitals. This is a fact, you just need to know a little about the principle and operation of this operation. Because the traditional operation is to remove the protruding mucosa and hemorrhoid nucleus on the rectum with a scalpel and sew it with traditional silk thread, it has great damage and much bleeding, so the probability of postoperative anastomotic bleeding is also high. Comparatively speaking, PPH is safer. It is reflected in the incidence of postoperative complications, and it is indeed true.
After PPH, there is no need to change the dressing every day, only hemorrhoids suppository needs to take the anal canal to relieve the inflammation and edema of the anastomosis, and take a sitz bath every day. Because of the anastomosis of rectal mucosa, there is still a feeling of pain when defecating, and because of the tension of the anastomosis, the lower abdomen sometimes feels involved and painful. There are individual differences in this feeling, some patients have obvious reactions, and some people have no feelings at all. It is also related to the severity of the disease before operation. This feeling was obviously relieved more than half a month after operation, and no special treatment was needed. Generally speaking, the feeling after operation is much better than that after traditional operation. All patients with traditional hemorrhoidectomy have different degrees of paDing, and it is conceivable to use Demerol and Murphy to relieve pain in severe cases.
In terms of hospitalization time, because PPH surgery does not need to remove stitches, routine anti-inflammatory treatment for 3 days can be discharged after observation for 2 days. Patients who recover quickly and are impatient are discharged within 3 days. After 5 years of follow-up, none of the discharged patients recurred. Several cases of bleeding and pain were relieved by self-administration of hemorrhoids suppository, and no second operation was needed.
The above is a personal opinion, not mentioning a hospital or someone, not advertising. I hope it helps you.
