Corrosion inhibition mechanism of concrete corrosion inhibitor

Research Institute of Building Materials, China Academy of Building Research (Beijing Jianyan Kunlun Technology Co., Ltd.) has developed a CABR-MS605 composite concrete rust inhibitor for sulfate and chloride corrosion based on the achievements of "Research on Key Technologies of Concrete Durability and Engineering Application". Its working principle is to increase the compactness of concrete by adding waterproof agent and water reducer, and improve the ability of concrete to resist the invasion of bad water quality. By adding high-performance air entraining agent, the frost resistance and durability of concrete are improved; Through the compound rust inhibitor, the positive protection of steel bars and concrete after the invasion of bad water quality is obtained. The preservative can effectively improve the sulfate corrosion resistance of concrete. The mechanism is not simply to add mineral admixtures to ordinary portland cement, but to reduce the concentration of SO _ 42-ions invading concrete, refine the pore size of capillary, and inhibit the precipitation rate of calcium hydroxide in cement stone, thus delaying the formation of gypsum and ettringite crystals, inhibiting their expansion and destruction, and further delaying the sulfate attack and destruction rate of concrete. This product can effectively prevent ettringite crystal expansion damage, gypsum crystal expansion damage, magnesium salt crystal damage and xonotlite crystal damage, thus improving the durability of concrete structure. The rust inhibitor in the preservative can form a molecular chemical protective film on the surface of the steel bar, which can protect the corroded or non-corroded reinforced concrete structure and prevent the steel bar from being corroded due to various reasons such as chloride ion, carbonization or stray current.
