Part I
The reality we face
Dear friends of secondary school students, I would like to ask you: when the treasures of Dunhuang appeared in the British Museum, when "Sun Tzu's Art of War", "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" readers more foreigners - as a people of China, we should be happy or sad about it? Should we, as Chinese people, rejoice or grieve over this? When our economic strength is noticed by the world, but the excellent Chinese culture is lost unconsciously, should we be happy or sad? Of course, we also know that in the past, culture is the patent of a few people, only those who are familiar with the "Four Books", "Five Classics" of the dignitaries, literati only worthy of talking about culture, and those who are planting and cultivating the fields of the lower class has always been not to see and can not think of this kind of Yangchunbaixue. In the era of Confucius and Confucianism in the orthodox style, the weight of culture is as heavy as a rock, and the line of the readers seems to be much more elegant and honorable than others. Thousands of years of cultural lineage passed down, the Chinese can proudly say, I come from a civilized country, a Ben Zhang with the culture of the country, so the culture has become the favorite of many people, into today's society, a kind of wind or trend. So, such culture can almost fill the potholes of this country.
In any case, culture is a noble word, honor culture is a nation's fortunate, but really the quality of the national high to even the sky floating, crawling on the ground, swimming in the water are cultural that situation? The proliferation of such "culture" does not witness the wealth and superiority of the country and the nation, but rather reflects its absurdity and ignorance.
There is no doubt that after the reform and opening up, China has undergone radical changes in all fields. The emancipation of thought has indeed brought about a vibrant and exciting culture, and the opening of the country's gates has indeed brought about a culture of rain from all directions. It is also in this cultural environment that the contradictions between old and new cultures, the collision between Chinese and Western cultures, the comparison between traditional culture and modern civilization, and cultural conformity and cultural change all positively and inevitably emerge. The eastward advancement of western lifestyle, society and culture has also slowly narrowed the distance between the eastern and western cultures, which is especially evident in the young generation. We have seen and heard that people born in the late 80's have begun to believe in Santa Claus and spend their birthdays in McDonald's Pizza Hut, but many of them don't know how to hold a quill pen, have never read a wire-bound book, seen a long-life lock, or been to a table of Eight Immortals, and they can push a bead calculator they found in a corner as a cart to play with it. In their memories, there is no impression of these traditional things, so they are textureless and pale. These things handed down by their ancestors, imbued with the crystallization of thousands of years of Chinese civilization, are unfamiliar and even incomprehensible to them. As a result, today's young people have begun to ignore and even abandon these home-grown cultures in favor of Western culture, running around the world in suits and fluent English, but not bothering to take a day off to pay tribute to their ancestors.
Traditional culture is in decline in China, and its absence has become a painful reality. Although the traditional culture is not all good, there are inevitably some dross, but its essence is definitely much more than the poison, otherwise how could Chinese civilization in other major ancient civilizations have long been folded through the broken veins of the time still glittering? But the most lamentable and saddest thing is that the culture we disregarded is regarded as a treasure by others. When South Korea included the Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional Chinese festival, in its cultural heritage, there was a public outcry in China, and one of the articles titled "De-traditionalization" handed over the cultural heritage wrote: "China's century-long 'de-traditionalization' campaign has not led to China's prosperity. China's century-long 'de-traditionalization' movement has not led to a rich and strong China; it has only created a fractured generation - a lost generation ignorant of traditional culture? Because of our indifference to tradition, our store of tradition is far inferior to that of our neighbors. We are resentful but have no one else to blame; it is we ourselves who have given away our cultural heritage." From this I thought of the Dunhuang Cave, Dunhuang culture, thought of Wang Daoshi, Stein and the Manchu ***, thought of Stein a carload of those who belong to our Dunhuang scrolls, books, statues transported to Europe, I feel sour in my heart: those Dunhuang's treasures are not snatched, is Wang Daoshi is willing to use only a few pieces of silver worth of the things exchanged away. These treasures of Chinese culture were simply and simply lost! There are "Sun Tzu's Art of War", "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", "on the prolonged war" today's young people rarely asked about the classic culture has not been absorbed by our countrymen, but by Japan, South Korea, Europe and the United States some countries to study the use of management of talent, resources, used in commercial warfare, and then in turn and we come to do business. Is this the misfortune of the culture or the sorrow of the Chinese children and grandchildren? We do not know.
The culture of a nation reflects the level of economic development of a country and a nation in a certain sense. The real culture is those who enlighten people's minds, teaching people tirelessly to promote human progress and social development of the spiritual food, rather than those who wear chiseled, selling the name of pretending to be noble or even spreading feudal superstition and lawlessness of the dregs of the misdeeds. A nation does not need bubble culture and false culture. Foam and false culture can not reshape the spiritual concepts and construct the quality of personality. The more culture there is, the better.
The moral bottom line for defining culture is not to have too much of it, but to have too little of it.
The transmutation of culture only shows the absence of true culture, and its poverty has affected the construction of spiritual civilization and constrained the improvement of people's social and professional morality. Many of the connotations of traditional Chinese culture is that we can't understand and penetrate all our lives. Perhaps some of its impurities should be discarded, perhaps some of its content can not yet provide timely intellectual protection and support for our economic construction, but we can build on our strengths and avoid shortcomings, we can combine the traditional culture and modern culture organically and harmoniously, *** with the service of the construction of our cause.
Part II
Chinese culture is profound and far-reaching, carrying five thousand years of history and the soul of the Chinese nation. As a pure Chinese, one should have the moral quality of respecting and carrying forward the traditional culture of the motherland.
"Du Fu is very busy" was once a hot topic, about his graffiti in the micro-channel on the crazy circulation and comments. Suddenly, Du Fu dressed in a witch's robe, riding a broomstick disguised as Du version of Harry Potter, or he rode a white horse "impersonating" the Tang Monk, even more outrageous is painted as a hand-carrying machine gun ready to fight at any time of the day, overnight, the Internet formed a "two camps" Overnight, "two factions" were formed on the Internet -- the supporting side and the opposing side. Regarding this phenomenon, the positive side believes that maliciously vilifying Du Fu's image is a vulgar and shallow act. However, the opposing side countered, "Dufu graffiti is a funny picture created by children to develop their imagination, and it is an opportunity to expand the understanding of Dufu among students as well as remind adults of Dufu's life story, so it doesn't need to be taken too seriously."
Perhaps numerous people may have been there just for entertainment, hence the Dufu-gate incident. But in a sense, it is a disrespect and desecration of traditional culture. The spiritual culture of a nation reflects the vitality of that nation. Chinese culture, which has been passed down for 5,000 years, must have reasons and meanings for being preserved. From hieroglyphics to modern simplified Chinese characters, from classical Chinese characters to today's shirts, from bumpy horse-drawn carriages to spacious and comfortable private cars, a series of great changes have taken place in the clothing, food, housing and transportation of the Chinese people, but the tradition of festivals has always continued, this is because these specific festivals are only found in China, and they symbolize the history of China's development, which is a precious product left behind by the history. As a Chinese descendant, we should not overly respect foreign festivals and activities, such as Christmas, Valentine's Day, Halloween eggs, etc. These festivals are fragments of the souls of those countries and nations, if we pick up the fragments and put them on our bodies to cover their own souls, then we can not experience the joy of the real foreign culture, the culture of their own country will also be forgotten. In this way, our "soul" becomes like a worn-out doll, covered with patches and threads.
Du Fu, a great patriotic poet, although his career was not so smooth, but still have their own swan's aspirations, always concerned about the country, to achieve the real worry about the people. The friendship between Li Bai and Du Fu is probably the most respected in Chinese cultural history, except for Yu Bo Ya and Zhong Ziqi. It is a pity that the two met too late, and their farewell was also in a hurry. After Li Bai wrote his farewell poem, Li and Du never met again, and the sentimental Du Fu has been in a state of missing his friend ever since. It can be seen that Du Fu was both a loyal and a sentimental poet. Although I didn't have the chance to visit the Cao Tang where he lived back then, I think it must have been a sacred and solemn place, which retained the air of Dufu's longing and sadness back then! Such a great man should be worthy of our learning, to admire, rather than for pure entertainment to make Du Fu "very busy."
Respect the culture of transmission, carry forward the spirit of the Chinese nation inherent, so that our "soul" stands in the center of the world emanating full of five thousand years of wind, rain and snow of the light of the Chinese nation!
Part III
In March, a series of graffiti paintings became popular on Weibo, and Du Fu became the main character. The picture of him sometimes holding a sniper rifle, sometimes waving a knife to cut melons, sometimes riding a white horse, sometimes on a motorcycle, by netizens jokingly called "Dufu is very busy". The prototype of the series is the illustration of the poem "Ascending to the Heights" in the compulsory textbook of the Humanistic Teaching Edition of the Chinese language, drawn by the late master of figure painting, Mr. Jiang Zhaoho. In the picture, Du Fu is sitting on a rock, his thin face slightly uplifted, and the strap of his hat fluttering backward with the wind. And in the netizen's pen, Du Fu has been transformed into a muscular man, Dragon Fighter, Captain Jack ...... and not to say that the original intention of this phenomenon is actually for what, but this behavior gives us the impression that it is in the waste of Chinese culture, as if the grandchildren are laughing at the grandfather's vicissitudes is a kind of comical.
The Four Books and Five Classics, the scriptures and history, the Tang poems and Song lyrics, and the plays and dramas, all of these traditional cultures have nurtured and shaped the spiritual personalities of generations of Chinese people. To build a strong cultural nation, we should draw on the nutrients of traditional culture, carry forward the spiritual values inherent in traditional culture, and form new cultural traditions. Therefore, building a strong cultural nation should shake hands with tradition. This means that it is necessary to break away from the dichotomous thinking of treating traditional culture as either the essence or the dregs, and to live in harmony with tradition***. Not to mention that the essence or dross is relative, standing in the position of cultural heritage development, we should also hold a mild and kind attitude towards traditional culture.
Mr. Qian Mu once said that the country's past history must have "a warmth and respect", so that "the country is again the hope of forward development". A country's history and culture is the unique spiritual heritage of the country, do not respect and treat the tradition, inevitably and gradually lose cultural self-awareness and cultural self-confidence, not to mention the cultural development, cultural strength of the country. In other words, respect for traditional culture, strengthen traditional cultural education, protection of historical and cultural heritage, is to promote the cultural development and prosperity of the title of the meaning of the right.
