History of Wuhan Medical Treatment Center
The original Wuhan Infectious Disease Hospital was founded in 1929 as the Wuhan Special City Infectious Disease Hospital, and was officially renamed the Wuhan Infectious Disease Hospital in 1950 when it was moved to Father Mei Hospital of Hankou Catholic Church. After nearly 80 years of development, it has become a large specialized tertiary infectious disease hospital in Wuhan, integrating medicine, education and research, and in 1998, it was renamed Wuhan Liver Disease Hospital.
