The story of filial piety to parents

Case 1

Luz used rice to honor his parents.

There is an old saying in China: "Filial piety is the first virtue". Filial piety is the first of all virtues. If a person does not know how to honor his parents, it is hard to imagine that he will love his motherland and people.

The ancients said: "I am old, and people are old; Young and frivolous, and young people. " We should not only honor our parents, but also respect other old people, care for young children, and create an honest folk custom of respecting the old and loving the young in the whole society. This is the responsibility of our students in the new era.

Luz was a native of Lu at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period. He is famous for his political affairs among Confucius disciples. Especially famous for being brave. However, when Luz was young, his family was very poor, and he lived by eating coarse grains and wild vegetables for many years.

Once, my elderly parents wanted to eat rice, but there was no rice at home. What should I do? Lutz thought, if he climbed several mountains and borrowed some rice from relatives, wouldn't he be able to meet his parents' requirements?

As a result, Xiaozi walked more than ten miles across the mountains and returned a small bag of rice from his relatives' home. Seeing that his parents ate delicious rice, Luz forgot his fatigue. The neighbors all praised Luz as a brave and filial child.

Case 2

Bao Gong was born in Bao Zheng (AD 999- 1062) and Hefei, Luzhou (now Hefei, Anhui). His father, Bao Yi, was a doctor of the three dynasties and was posthumously named assistant minister of punishments. Bao Gong was famous for his filial piety when he was a teenager, and he was straightforward and honest. In Song Renzong Tiansheng five years, namely AD 1027, he entered the ranks of Jinshi at the age of 28. He was first a judge of Dali Temple and later a magistrate of Jianchang (now Yongxiu, Jiangxi). Because his parents were too old to go abroad with him, Bao Gong immediately quit his job and went home to take care of his parents. His filial piety was praised by officials.

A few years later, his parents died one after another, and Bao Gong re-entered the official career. This is also under the hard persuasion of the villagers. In feudal society, if parents only have one son, then this son can't leave his parents and go to other places to be an official alone. This is against the feudal law. Under normal circumstances, for the sake of their son's future, parents will follow. Or the son and the rest of the family to persuade. Parents don't want to follow their son to an official position to support the elderly, which is rare in feudal times, because it means that the son should abide by the constraints of feudal ethics-resign from the official position to take care of himself. The history books did not explain the specific reasons. Maybe his parents are ill and can't stand the bumps on the road. Bao Gong resigned from his post.

No matter what the situation, Bao Gong can voluntarily resign from his official position, which still shows that he is not the kind of person who is obsessed with officialdom. Filial piety to parents can be regarded as an example for people with some qualities today. In the previous stories, the most important thing is Bao Gong's selflessness, while ignoring Bao Gong's filial piety to his parents.

Case 3

In order not to make his father sad, he never cried cold, but showed jubilation, and tried to create a happy atmosphere at home, so that his father could relax and recover soon.
