There is a cross talk in which He Xian asks Lu Xian?
The traditional cross talk "Eight Auspiciouss" is to shake off the burden by teasing the actors to write poems around the words "Tian, Tao, Lin, Hai, Deng, Lian, Xiang and Ba", which is very literary and interesting. Because of the repeated appearance of "the old longevity star of Antarctic Weng" and "the two boys of crane and deer" in the whole work, it is full of the meaning of good luck and longevity. There are two versions of Eight Auspicious Stories: one is that performers write poems with the names of the Three Kingdoms, and the other is that performers write poems with characters from eight different classical literary works. The second version, because of the passage of time, many characters and stories in classic literary works are unfamiliar, so it is rarely performed on the stage. In the late 1990s, famous crosstalk performers Ma Jingbo and Huang Zumin recorded videos and left messages. At present, the versions of poems written by the names of the Three Kingdoms are common on the stage, but now considering that performing eight times will make the audience feel cumbersome, most of them are simplified to four or five times.
