The difference between xenon headlights and halogen headlights

Xenon headlights are good. The difference between halogen headlights and xenon headlights lies in color temperature, brightness and service life. These are caused by their luminous principles:

1. Compared with the luminous principle, the traditional halogen headlight is a tungsten lamp, which is filled with halogen elements or halides such as bromine and iodine. Tungsten wire emits hot light after heating. Due to the melting point of tungsten wire itself, the luminous color temperature value is generally around 3200K;

2. Xenon lamp is a kind of heavy metal lamp, called HID gas discharge lamp for short. It is filled with various chemical gases, such as xenon and other inert gases, in the ultraviolet-resistant crystal glass tube. Then the vehicle-mounted 12 volt power supply is boosted by the booster instantly. Under high pressure, xenon will be ionized, producing a light source between the two poles of the power supply. The color temperature value of luminescence is generally greater than 4100k;

3. Compared with the luminous intensity, the power of the two front bulbs of traditional halogen headlights is generally 55W, which is only about 1000 lumens (the unit of luminous flux, the total amount of light emitted by the light source in a certain unit time);

4. The general power of the two front bulbs of xenon headlights is only about 35W, but it can produce strong light of about 3200 lumens; The brightness is increased by 3 times. Comparatively speaking, the vision of xenon headlights is clearer, which greatly increases the safety factor of driving at night and reduces the accident rate.
