Introduction to horticulture 1. Training target 1. Education level: four years' undergraduate course, bachelor of agronomy cultivates all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique and beauty, with firm political belief, solid foundation, wide knowledge, high professional quality, strong practical ability, strong social adaptability, innovative spirit and entrepreneurial ability, and is highly responsible for the country and society, engaged in horticultural technology popularization and application, industrial management, scientific research and teaching.
2. Mastered knowledge: Students in this major mainly study the basic theories and knowledge of biology and horticulture, receive the basic training of scientific research, production and management of horticultural plants, and have the basic ability of horticultural plant production, technology development and promotion and horticultural enterprise management.
The main courses of this major include botany, plant physiology, biochemistry, genetics, experimental design and statistical analysis, soil agrochemical analysis, general microbiology, horticultural plant cultivation principles, horticultural plant pathology, horticultural plant entomology, horticultural product storage and marketing, and horticultural plant breeding principles.
3. Ability: (1) Have solid basic theoretical knowledge such as mathematics, physics and chemistry;
(2) Master the basic theories, knowledge and experimental skills of biology;
(3) Master systematically the basic theories, knowledge and skills of natural science and management science necessary for scientific research and industrial management of horticulture (fruit trees, vegetables and ornamental horticulture); Familiar with the necessary basic knowledge and skills of agricultural production;
(4) Have extensive knowledge of related disciplines and humanities and social sciences; Familiar with laws, regulations and policies related to agricultural production and horticultural plant production;
(5) Have the awareness and basic knowledge of agricultural sustainable development, and understand the scientific frontier and development trend of horticultural production and science and technology;
(6) Master the basic methods of scientific and technological literature retrieval and information query, and have certain scientific research and practical work ability;
(7) Strong investigation and decision-making, organization and management, oral and written expression skills; Have certain ability and quality to adapt to the work of adjacent majors;
(8) Proficient in using a foreign language and being able to read foreign language books and periodicals of this major.
4.
