Ancient dating methods: stem and branch chronology, chronology, princes and dukes, chronology, chronology stem and branch method, the year star chronology, the year of the year, the Chinese zodiac chronology, the Eastern Pole salmon chronology, the Chinese and Western composite chronology, the Ancient Egyptian calendar.
The stem and branch chronology is one of the most basic ways of dating in ancient China. The earliest record is found in "Huainanzi - Tianwenxun", but this way was not yet prevalent in the Western Han Dynasty. Since the Eastern Han Dynasty, Guangwu Emperor Jianwu thirty years (54 AD) began to stem and branch officially used for dating.
