5 Thorough cleaning

If you want to give your keyboard a thorough cleaning, you'll have to remove the caps from each key.

Ordinary keyboards have removable keycap sections, so you can pry them off with a small screwdriver or a hollowing spoon, one by one in the order of going from the corner sections of the keyboard area to the middle section; larger keycaps such as the spacebar and enter are harder to return to their original positions, so try not to remove them.

To avoid forgetting the location of these keycaps, it's best to take a picture of the keyboard layout with your camera or draw a sketch first. After removing the keycaps, you can soak them in a detergent or disinfectant solution and carefully scrub the keyboard base with a flannel or disinfectant tissue.
