Luoyang Ancient Art Museum is divided into three exhibition areas: typical tombs of past dynasties, royal tombs of Northern Wei Dynasty and mural museum. The exhibition area of typical tombs in past dynasties is divided into two parts: above ground and underground. Here, 25 representative tombs from the Western Han Dynasty to the Song and Jin Dynasties were relocated and restored, and about 600 cultural relics were exhibited. Through the overall display of tomb shapes, we can have more perspectives to understand the space environment where tomb buildings, unearthed cultural relics, tomb murals, brick carving art and cultural relics are located.

Luoyang Ancient Art Museum is the first theme museum in China, which mainly displays the typical tombs of past dynasties. It is divided into three exhibition areas: tombs of past dynasties, tombs of emperors in the Northern Wei Dynasty and mural museum. At the entrance of the underground tourist area, there are introductions to the tombs of Luoyang emperors and celebrities. Luoyang is a famous cultural relic city in China. Cultural relics workers have excavated a large number of ancient tombs for many years and found many precious tomb murals. These murals cover the Western Han Dynasty, the Eastern Han Dynasty, the Wei and Jin Dynasties, the Tang and Song Dynasties and the Jin and Yuan Dynasties. The owners of mural tombs range from emperors, concubines, dignitaries to local officials and ordinary people. These murals have clear and delicate images and a wide range of subjects, covering astronomy, geography, personnel and gods. They can be called a history of China written with images, and they have become an important part of the artistic heritage of ancient Chinese painting, with incomparable historical and cultural value compared with other ancient books.

According to Wang Aiwen, director of Luoyang Museum of Ancient Art, the exhibition contents of Henan Museum of Ancient Murals will include "Colorful Hua Zhang-Exhibition of Ancient Tomb Murals in Henan" and "History of Ancient Tomb Murals in China". The booth of Tomb Painter Essence is located in Henan Ancient Mural Museum in the north of Luoyang Ancient Art Museum. Mural Museum was completed and opened on 2011. The main body of Henan Ancient Mural Museum is an attic-style building imitating the Han Dynasty, with one floor underground and three floors above ground, with a height of 24 meters and a construction area of 2,300 square meters. The essence exhibition is mainly in kind, showing 53 groups of more than 90 tomb murals and painted carved bricks unearthed in Henan Province (mainly Luoyang area) in chronological order. There are 15 mural tombs spanning eight dynasties (periods) such as the Western Han Dynasty, Xin Mang, the Eastern Han Dynasty, the Northern Wei Dynasty, the Tang Dynasty, the Five Dynasties, the Song Dynasty and the Jin Dynasty. Murals are rich in themes, colorful in characters and vivid in flowers and birds, which truly reproduce people's spiritual world and material life at that time. The exhibition area provides e-books, electronic puzzles, animations, exhibition boards, video materials and other forms to help visitors interpret the exhibition and increase their knowledge and interest.
