What subject is accounting?
Brief introduction of accounting major:
Accounting is an undergraduate major in colleges and universities, which belongs to business administration. The academic system lasts for four years and a bachelor's degree in management is awarded. The professional code is 120203K.
This major trains application-oriented and compound professionals who meet the needs of modern market economy, have humanistic spirit, scientific literacy and honesty consciousness, have knowledge and ability in economy, management, law and accounting, and can engage in accounting practice, teaching and scientific research in profit-making and non-profit institutions.
Academic system and degree:
The basic academic system of accounting major is 4 years, and flexible academic system can be implemented, but the general length of study is not less than 3 years and not more than 8 years. Complete all courses and learning tasks that meet the training objectives and plans within the specified time. Those who pass the examination and obtain corresponding credits and meet all requirements are allowed to graduate and issue graduation certificates.
Those who comply with the Regulations on Academic Degrees in People's Republic of China (PRC), the Interim Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on Academic Degrees in People's Republic of China (PRC) and the relevant regulations of the school are granted a bachelor's degree in management upon examination and approval by the Academic Degrees Committee.
Accounting knowledge requirements:
(1) Basic knowledge of disciplines:
As an affiliated major of business administration, accounting major should first master the knowledge of management and economics and establish a good and solid knowledge background.
(2) Professional knowledge:
After students have the basic knowledge of the subject, they need to systematically master the accounting professional knowledge including basic theories, methods and skills, understand the frontier and development trend of the subject theory, and be familiar with the relevant accounting laws and regulations at home and abroad and international practices.
(3) General knowledge and other relevant knowledge:
Students also need to have knowledge of humanities and social sciences such as literature, sociology, psychology, history, politics, ethics, philosophy and art, learn knowledge of ideological and political theory, master and apply knowledge and skills in advanced mathematics, statistics, foreign languages and computers, and appropriate knowledge of engineering technology and information technology.
