Mung beans are native to China, planted throughout the country, producing areas are mainly concentrated in the Yellow River and Huaihe River Basin and Northeast, North China, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Anhui, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Sichuan, Shaanxi and other places to plant more, of which Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Shaanxi and other provinces, autonomous regions and the development of faster. According to geographic distribution, China's mung beans can be roughly divided into three major advantageous production areas:

(3) northern summer mung bean area: including Henan, Shandong, Anhui, Jiangsu and Hebei, southwestern Shanxi and central Shaanxi, the dominant producing areas in Henan's Nanyang, Anhui's Mingguang, Hebei's Shijiazhuang, Shanxi's Jinnan, Shaanxi's Weinan and the Weibei dry arable plateau area.
