Tools for making teapots

There are many molding tools for teapot in China, which can be roughly divided into two categories: one is the common tools and necessary tools for making teapot; The other is a special appliance for making teapots in China.

Ming needle: Ming needle is made of ox horn piece, which is specially used for finishing the surface of pot blank. Specify different sizes according to different goals, including cylindrical needle, mouth handle needle and so on.

Mud thousands of feet: Use mud thousands of feet when lifting mud strips and chipping mud pieces. Generally, thousands of feet mud is 40-45cm long and made of long bamboo pieces. It is shallow and narrow from the handle to the head, with a flat back and a knife-edge shape on one side, and bamboo joints on the handle.

Compound only, strangulation only: compound only. Music is only used for collocation and is made of bamboo or horn. It is often used to connect the mud between the mud pieces and turn the intersection line to make the porcelain teapot smoother and firmer.

Copper tube: the diameter of copper tube should be made of different steel wires according to the needs, rolled into a half-diameter cylinder with lead or copper skin, and the two ends are processed into knife edges. This is used to drill holes in porcelain teapots.

Unique: tools with round mouth and eyes, made of bamboo, ivory and so on.

Top column: Top column is generally made of wood, and there are also stones made of purple sand mud. It is a special tool for stamping the bottom seal of China teapot after molding.

Yuan Gai Shi: Yuan Gai Shi is generally made of purple mud, but also made of plastic sheets. It is a special tool for treating the arc of the bottom and lid of China purple teapot.

Wooden wheel: commonly known as turntable, it is a special tool for making round purple sand utensils by hand. There are three shapes: large, medium and small, with a general diameter of about 16 cm, and ebony is the best.
