Chaomei, 193 1, from Heze, Shandong. Representative of the founder and organizer of the Great Northern Wilderness Printmaking School. Enjoy the special allowance of the State Council. From 65438 to 0949, he joined the China People's Liberation Army while studying in Nanjing, was admitted to the Military and Political University of the Second Field Army, and began to engage in artistic activities. 1952 to Harbin Institute of Military Engineering. 1958 changed jobs to participate in the reclamation of the Great Northern Wilderness and devoted himself to artistic creation. From 65438 to 0962, he was transferred to Heilongjiang Artists Association as a professional painter. From 1977 to 1979, he was seconded to teach at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.

Heze City, Shandong Province and Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province all have art galleries named after themselves.
