To realize the transformation from traditional forestry to modern forestry, what are the problems that need to be solved

Over the past 10 years, in terms of theory, China's forestry has realized a shift from traditional forestry to modern forestry, a shift from timber production to ecological construction, and the establishment of a forestry development path based on ecological construction, which has gradually formed the idea of modern forestry development. In terms of practice, the six major projects have become the core of forestry construction and the carrier of multifunctionality of forests. The reform of the collective forest rights system has brought about a major change in the rural management system, a major adjustment of rural production relations, a major revitalization of rural production factors and a major liberation of rural social productivity. The Decision of the Central Government of the People's Republic of China on Accelerating Forestry Development, the Opinions of the Central Government of the People's Republic of China on Comprehensively Promoting the Reform of the Collective Forest Rights System, and the Central Forestry Work Conference have focused forestry policy on shifting from single-support construction to comprehensive support for ecological construction as well as reforms and people's livelihoods. Similarly, industrial construction has also gained unprecedented development opportunities and formed a complete market mechanism, presenting a number of world's first good situation.

In the next 10 years, the six projects will be continued and enriched, and there is a tendency to gradually move towards regularization; the theme will be to respond to climate change, to achieve the two commitments of the forest area, the volume of growth. The new proposition gives forestry an important role in emission reduction. China's emission reduction strategy should be: relative emission reduction. Its strategic measures are, first, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions per unit of GDP, and second, to increase carbon sinks to offset emissions. Forestry has become an important support for this strategy, and has evolved two directions and goals: to continue to increase the area of forests and improve the quality of forests.
