What is the standardized stroke order of Chinese characters?
The rules of stroke order for Chinese characters are:
Horizontal followed by vertical (e.g. "干"), apostrophe followed by down (e.g. "八"), top to bottom (e.g. "主"). From left to right (e.g. "Lin"), first in and then off (e.g. "Tian"), first in the center and then on both sides (e.g. "Water"), from outside to inside (e.g. "Hui"), etc. "), etc.
For example, "仗", the stroke order is 丿, 丿丨, 丿丨一, 丿丨一, 丿丨一丿, 丿丨一丿乀.
The stroke order is to some extent related to the speed of writing and the shape of the character. Stroke order is also important in exams.
The traditional stroke order of Chinese characters varies from region to region. In mainland China, the standard for stroke order is the "Stroke Order Standard for Modern Chinese Common Characters".
Extended information:
The "Modern Chinese Character Stroke Order", issued jointly by the State Language and Literature Commission of the People's Republic of China (SLCCP) and the Press and Publication Bureau on March 25, 1988, is a standard for all Chinese characters. The General Chinese Character List for Modern Chinese, jointly issued by the State Language and Literature Working Committee and the Press and Publication Administration on March 25, 1988, stipulates the standardized stroke order of 7,000 Chinese characters based on the stroke order specification determined by the Printed General Chinese Character Character Forms List issued in 1965.
Because the characters in the list do not list the following stroke order, they can only be inferred from the character order when using them, and some of them are difficult to determine. As a result, irregularities in the stroke order of Chinese characters have arisen in application due to differences in understanding and deduction.
In addition, there are still some difficulties in standardizing the stroke order itself. In order to promote the standardization of Chinese language and writing, to eliminate the difficulties in the standardized stroke order itself, and to meet the needs of research on Chinese characters, teaching Chinese characters, information processing of Chinese characters, publishing and printing, and compilation of dictionaries, the State Language and Literature Commission and the Press and Publication Administration decided to improve the existing standardized stroke order, and formed the "Standardized Stroke Order of Commonly Used Characters of the Modern Chinese Language".
The principle of balance between stability and systematicity was adopted in the improvement of the standardized stroke order, i.e., under the premise of maintaining the stability of the existing standardized stroke order, the stroke order of a few characters was adjusted to enhance the systematicity of the standardized stroke order as much as possible.
The specific content of the improvement of the standardized stroke order has three aspects: first, on the basis of the General Chinese Character List of Modern Chinese, the implicit standardized stroke order has been made explicit by listing 7,000 Chinese characters with the following stroke order; second, it is clarified that the character lists of the characters of "火", "叉 Second, the stroke order of some characters in the character list, such as "火", "叉", "鬯", "爽", etc., was clarified; third, the stroke order of the characters "敝", and "脊", etc., was adjusted. " and the stroke order of the characters "敝" and "脊".
