Does anyone know where the traditional folk culture of Bishan, phoenix lantern, phoenix dance and lion dance are located? What kind of folk tradition is "Binan Blowing"?

Bishan has always been a place where Han people live in compact communities, and the folk art forms are mainly Han culture. According to Miao Peijian, director of the county cultural center, due to the rapid pace of "keeping pace with the times", the intangible culture passed down is less than that in ethnic minority areas. At the same time, due to regional differences, the intangible culture of Bishan is also different from surrounding counties such as Hechuan and Yongchuan.

According to reports, the large-scale collection of intangible cultural heritage in Bishan still needs to be traced back to the late 1970s. Miao Peijian said that 30 years ago, there was no clear definition of intangible cultural heritage in China, and the nationwide collection of intangible cultural heritage was mainly carried out in the form of folk literature and art surveys. Only under the background of 1978, a nationwide survey of folk literature and art, the county education bureau at that time, the cadres of the Union County Cultural Center and social and cultural activists conducted a large-scale survey of folk literature and art. At that time, cultural cadres went deep into counties and towns, lived in farmhouses, listened to stories, watched performances and communicated with folk artists. They collected some forms of folk literature and art in our county through traditional methods such as notes, recording and hand drawing, and refined and sorted out the earliest intangible cultural heritage list in the county-Bishan folk literature and art survey collection.

This collection of folk literature and art surveys made by traditional hand-carved and mimeographed techniques clearly records the folk music, folk dance, folk literature and folk activities in our county through illustrations.

In 2005, the real national intangible cultural heritage survey began nationwide. Once the activity was rolled out, it received positive responses from all provinces, cities and counties across the country, and all localities began to collect and submit local intangible cultural heritage. The cadres of Bishan County Cultural Center and even the whole army went out to conduct a large-scale census in all towns and villages of the county. With the development of the times and the progress of science and technology, advanced technology and equipment have also brought convenience to the census work, and cameras, video recorders and other equipment have come in handy. Through this census, the collection of intangible cultural heritage in our county is quite successful, which laid the foundation for the production of intangible cultural heritage list in our county.

According to the latest list of intangible cultural heritage published by our county, there are 32 items in five categories of intangible cultural heritage in our county. Among them, in 2007 and 2009, Dano Dance, Yangko and Binan Chuida were selected as provincial intangible cultural heritage lists.
