4. Yellow River Lantern Festival

The Yellow River Lantern Festival is very popular in some places in Gansu Province. This kind of Lantern Festival takes the meaning of the Yellow River's nine twists and eighteen bends, forming a mystery that arranges heaven and earth and puts the Yellow River in position. Generally speaking, firstly, a large open space is selected, a big pole is erected on the open space, and a flag is hung, which is equivalent to the center of the light array. Then 365 lights are arranged around the big pole, taking the trend of nine palaces and eight diagrams, and then the light poles are connected according to certain rules.
