How to distinguish the specifications and models of fire extinguishers?

In China, three classification methods are usually used, which are classified according to the type of fire extinguishing agent, the weight of fire extinguisher and the way of pressurization. There is a difference between the specifications and models of fire extinguishers. Four types are listed below.

Details are as follows:

1. Portable foam extinguisher

It is mainly composed of cylinder, cylinder head, bottle container, bottle clamp and nozzle. The domestic MP portable foam extinguisher mainly includes MP6, MP8, MP9, MP 10, MP26 and MP29.

2. Pushing foam extinguisher

It consists of a cylinder, a cylinder cover, a bottle container opening and closing mechanism, an injection system and a machine body. There are two kinds of fire extinguishers in the cart type foam extinguisher: MPT65 and MPT 100.

3. Air foam extinguisher

Air foam extinguisher contains 90% water and 10% 6% air foam extinguishing agent. The carbon dioxide gas pumps the foam into the injection hose, and the foam is generated by the action of the spray gun. According to the different types of fire extinguishing agents, it can be divided into protein foam extinguisher, fluoroprotein foam extinguisher, anti-soluble foam extinguisher and "light water" foam extinguisher. The MQP3 "light water" foam extinguisher consists of a gas cylinder, a control mechanism, a carbon dioxide gas cylinder, a lifting mechanism and an injection system.

4. Portable dry powder fire extinguisher

External dry powder fire extinguisher. It mainly includes a cylinder and a carbon dioxide steel cylinder hanging outside the cylinder. The cylinder is filled with dry powder fire extinguishing agent, and the bottom is inserted with 1 air inlet pipe and 65438 powder outlet pipe, which are respectively communicated with the air inlet and powder outlet located in the hood. The opening valve of the upper port of the steel cylinder is needle-punched (operated by the pull ring) and connected with the air inlet with the fastening nut. The powder spraying hose with a spray gun is installed at the powder outlet in the form of threaded connection.
