Which is better, plug-in hybrid or add-on program

From the point of view of energy conversion efficiency, plug-in hybrid is more efficient than add-on electric.

Supercharged program has two working modes, pure electric as well as series, in which the engine in series drives the generator to generate electricity, and the electricity then drives the wheels. Because of structural limitations, the engine of the supercharged model can't drive the wheels directly, which wastes the engine's power, and the efficiency of the high-speed cruising condition of "generating power and then driving with electricity" is not as high as that of the engine's direct drive.

There are four common drive modes for plug-in hybrids, and in addition to pure electric power and series, the engine can drive the wheels, so there are two more parallel and direct drive modes. Parallel can make full use of the engine power, in high-speed cruising conditions direct drive is also more efficient overall.

Plug-in hybrids are capable of charging while running, mainly inside the vehicle, but not through the charging port while driving. Plug-in hybrids can charge while running because plug-in hybrids have two separate power systems, one electric drive and one fuel drive, and can charge the battery in fuel drive mode, when the current is small, charging while running does not affect the life of the battery.

Plug-in hybrids are mostly based on fuel vehicles with modifications, and with more and more car companies joining the plug-in hybrid technology research and development track, these drawbacks will gradually be improved. The increase in awareness and recognition of plug-in hybrids is an important reason for the recent rapid growth of plug-in hybrid models.
