What are the architectural features of Jingpo nationality?

The Jingpo folk houses scattered in the depths of the mountains are all traditional straw houses with bamboo and wood structures. The frame of the house is supported by wooden columns with branches and fixed with rattan. The roof is covered with thatch, the walls and floors are woven with bamboo strips, and there is a terrace.

Long strip houses are located in relatively concentrated villages, with long ridges and short eaves, and also belong to dry column structure. According to the overhead height at the bottom of the building, there are high-rise buildings and low-rise buildings, most of which are low-rise, which is called "pig's foot house" locally.

The low-rise building is less than one meter from the ground, with low walls and no windows. There is a wide and long front porch at the entrance of the gable, which is the main place for family members to enjoy the cool and housewives' daily life.

The roof of the front porch is overhanging, facing the sky on three sides, and going up and down with wooden ladders or short ladders. At one end of the house, there is a central column extending forward from the roof, and then supported by the central column to form a small pavilion, which is a place to put rice, pigs and tools.

Indoor curtains are used to separate rooms freely, and bamboo mats are also used, but not on the roof. Every room has a fire pit to repel mosquitoes in summer and keep warm in winter. Generally, the middle room is used as a kitchen and clothes rack. Most rooms have no beds, but lie on the floor.
