Will eBooks disappear?
E-books are not going away, but they may become inaccessible. Unlike traditional paper books, eBooks are stored and distributed through digital technology, so they may be subject to technological changes, copyright issues, publisher closures, and other factors that could cause them to lose accessibility.
For example, if copyright issues are not resolved for a particular e-book, it may be removed from online bookstores, making it impossible to purchase and download. In addition, if a publisher stops supporting a particular eBook format or closes their online bookstore, then those books will not be accessible either. Also, due to technological advances, some older versions of eBooks may not open or be readable on newer devices or operating systems.
So while eBooks won't disappear completely, it's important to make sure you back up important eBook files so that you can restore or regain access if needed.
