Hearthstone legend version 20.0 update log share card weakening callback list

Hearthstone Legends is about to be updated to version 20.0, with some of the classic cards weakened and rolled back, and the official announcement of the new version of the changes has already been made, so here's the Hearthstone Legends 20.0 update log

Hearthstone Legends 20.0 Update Log Sharing

The upcoming patch 20.0 is packed with content! When the patch goes live on March 26th it will open up a lot of brand new content, and even more will be unlocked with ["Hammering in the Barren Lands"] on March 31st! Below is a detailed list of changes to look forward to and when they will go live. Unless otherwise noted, the following changes will take effect when the patch goes live on March 26th!

Balance Updates

Nitrogen Preparation

Old: [Consumes 1 mana] → New: [Consumes 2 mana]

Developer's Comment: we'll be changing the mana cost of Nitrogen Preparation to 2 in order to limit the amount of cheap burst damage available to the Stalker and to create a more tangible requirement for Corrosive effects to trigger. When evaluating Stalker's future weapon school play, we'd like to see a core playstyle that builds a weapon and fights for field control over multiple turns, rather than the very aggressive tactics that are common in sets like Stalking Thief.

When Patch 20.0 goes live, players will be able to break down Nitrogen Preparations and get full Arcane Dust for two weeks.

Tavern Wargames Update

The Manned Reaper has been removed from the Tavern Wargames follower pool.

New Heroes

The Great King of Sarufal

For the Horde! [Consumes 1 Cast Coin]

Give +1 Attack to the next follower you purchase during this turn. (Upgrades every turn!)

The Great King of Sarufal will be officially unlocked on April 9, and players with Wargame Perks can get a sneak peek.

New Attendant

Barren Lands Blacksmith (Gold Card Watermark is not the final version)

[Rank 3] 3 Attack Points, 5 Lifesteal. Fury: Gives +2/+2 to your other attachments.

Classic Mode, Expanded Series Rotation, and New Core Series

Ready to reminisce about the old days? Classic Mode will invite players to build sets and go head-to-head using Hearthstone Legends' original 240 cards, revisiting Hearthstone Legends as it was when it was originally released in 2014! When the patch goes live on March 26, your entire collection of Basic, Classic, and Honor Room cards will be replicated and available for use in constructing Classic Mode sets - revisiting the game as it was prior to the 1.0.0.5832 patch in June 2014 (since when we've made a number of important changes), and all balance changes will be rolled back. Classic Deck Packs will now include the Classic Mode Deck Collection, as well as the Nostalgia Collection in Wild Mode. Classic Mode leaderboards will be released on March 31st.

To celebrate the release of Classic Mode, when Patch 20.0 goes live, all players will receive a gold Classic Deck Pack just for logging into the game!

The Year of the Griffin expansion series rotation will be available with the release of "Hammers of the Barren Lands" on March 31st! "Rise of Shadows," "Odium's Wonders," "Dragon's Descent," and "Caraclone's Awakening." "Demon Hunter Recruits", Basic and Classic series will all be retired to Wild Mode. A new Core Series will replace the Basic and Classic Series in Standard Mode, which contains returning cards, remastered cards, and all-new cards! The decks in the series consist of the following:

88 Classic Returning Cards (54 Career Cards, 34 Neutral Cards).

52 Basic Return Cards (41 Career Cards, 11 Neutral Cards).

55 Wild Mode Return decks (36 Career decks, 19 Neutral decks).

4 Ashes of the Outlands Return cards (4 Demon Hunter Pro decks).

4 "Demon Hunter Recruit" Return cards.

1 Honor Room Return Deck (Shadow Form).

31 brand new cards (20 Profession cards, 11 Neutral cards).

You may have noticed that the number of basic and all-new cards has changed from the last announcement. That's because we took into account feedback from the player community and decided to replace the Stonytooth Boar and Bluegill Warrior previously announced in the Core Series with two brand new attachments - Emerald Skyclaw Lord and Redgill Striker Jaw Warrior!

Finally, we've also updated the Shaman Priest's Heroic Skill by replacing Air's Wrath Totem (Spell Damage) with a brand new Power Totem that gives a friendly follower +1 Attack at the end of your turn!

Nerfing Big Rollback

We're also rolling back 36 cards that moved into Wild Mode! There is a 5-day window between these cards moving into Wild Mode and Patch 20.0 going live. We expect the Standard Mode environment to be very robust this weekend. The watermarks shown on the cards are not the final version.

Reward Routes and Diamond Cards

When the reward routes are first reset on March 31, all players will automatically receive either the free route or the purchased Hearthstone Pass. Unclaimed rewards from free routes or purchased Hearthstone Passes will automatically be available to all players, and a new Reward Route with lots of unlocked loot will take its place. *

We've made a number of adjustments to the new Reward Route that we hope will improve the feel of in-game boosting. In short, we've increased the core reward level from 50 to 100 and halved the amount of experience required for each level up. We've also adjusted the amount of rewards per level where possible to make the reward routes more evenly distributed. [You can view the full rewards table here for specific details on further optimizing the routes]. Note that the unfinished "Crazy Darkmoon Circus" game and Duel Mode achievements will no longer provide experience for the bonus routes as of March 26th, and will instead be provided by the new "Hammered in the Barren Lands" achievement!

With the launch of the Hearthstone Pass for Hammers of the Barren Lands, we're excited to announce a new class of decorative cards for Hearthstone Legends: the Diamond Deck! Each expansion pack will include one or more Diamond Legendary Cards, which will feature new 3D animations, more authentic card art, and a snazzy diamond border.

Samuro the Swordsman and Brucane will get the Diamond treatment in Hammered in the Barren Lands! The unlock requirements for these cards are as follows:

Diamond Sword Saint Samuro - Purchase the Hearthstone Pass for "Hammers of the Barren Lands" and pick it up instantly in the Reward Route.

Diamond Brukan - Earned by completing the "Hammers of the Barren Lands" Legendary Collector 5/5 Achievement (collect all Legendary cards in the expansion series).

*The Level 50 Hero Skin bonus must be selected before the Hammers of the Barren Lands bonus route resets. Additionally, all players who were online at the time of the reset will not be able to see the changed reward path immediately. Players will have to log back in to see the updated reward path. We will enable players who have not claimed this reward to automatically receive the Level 50 Heroic Skin in a future patch and allow online players to complete the reset seamlessly.

"Hammers of the Barren Lands" Hearthstone Pass

The "Crazy Darkmoon Circus" Hearthstone Pass will expire when "Hammers of the Barren Lands" goes live. The new Hearthstone Pass will be available for purchase and will offer a range of new cosmetic bonuses and experience bonuses.

Purchase the Hearthstone Pass any time before the next expansion pack launches, and you'll instantly unlock the Diamond Legendary card Sword Saint Samurai, a 10% experience bonus for the duration of the expansion pack, and all of the level-corresponding items in the paid route. During the "Hammers of the Barren Lands" expansion pack, progressing through the Tavern Pass will also earn you an additional experience bonus, Barren Lands cardback artwork, the uncraftable Gold Legendary follower Shadowhunter Worgin, the Firetooth Rexxar Heroic Skin, and a brand new Lucky Coin look! You can also unlock hero skins featuring mercenaries from Hammers of the Barren Lands: three Lokara Warrior hero skins, three Kultrus Demon Hunter hero skins, and three Zerella Priest hero skins!

New Lucky Coin Appearances

Of the three new Lucky Coin Appearances, the two "Hammered in the Barren Lands" style Lucky Coins can be earned by:

Completing the first 90 levels of the bonus route using the Hearthstone Pass.

Collect 135 different Hammers of the Barren Lands cards.

We're planning to release a mini-series of 35 cards for Hammers of the Barren Lands,*** totaling 170 cards that will help you complete the second achievement with ease. We'll be sharing more information about the Hammers of the Barren Lands miniseries in the coming months.

We've also added a Bigglesworth Lucky Coin appearance for players who collect every Psionic Academy card. Collect all 135 Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and the new Lucky Coin is yours!

The Book of Mercenaries: Lokara

The Hammers of the Barren Lands brings 10 new mercenary characters in the form of legendary attachments. We'll be telling the stories of these characters throughout the year through expansion packs, our website, Hearthstone Legends Mercenary Mode, and the Book of Mercenaries.

The Book of Mercenaries chronicles an epic series of stories about these 10 new mercenary characters and, similar to the Book of Heroes, will be released on a regular semi-monthly basis. Book of Mercenaries: Lokara is the first chapter in the series and will be released on April 7, with a pack of Warrior Profession card packs available for completion!
