Comparison between traditional Wushu and national standard Wushu
The national standard Wushu is a martial arts exercise and a routine course for government-run Wushu classes. National Wushu is a kind of sports, the essence of which is to combine some common movements in traditional Wushu into sports suitable for physical exercise. Now it is mainly spread in martial arts classes, sports institutes and martial arts schools all over the country. Nowadays, many people confuse Wushu. In fact, most of the martial arts champions we see now practice national standard martial arts, not traditional martial arts, so most people now refer to "national standard martial arts". Wushu is a technique of boxing and using weapons. It is a combination of kicking, hitting, falling, hitting, splitting and stabbing into various offensive and defensive fighting skills, routines and single-potential exercises with bare hands and equipment according to certain rules.
National Wushu can be divided into Sanda and routine. Sanda is the challenge of national Wushu, and routine is the manifestation of national Wushu.
sanda
1950, the All-China Sports Federation officially established Wushu to serve people's health. The Party Central Committee implements a public system, and it is not allowed to set up private libraries to teach students. Therefore, some famous boxing methods such as Bajiquan Wing Chun were banned. This is the suppression of traditional martial arts, the early embryonic form of the development of national standard martial arts, which should actually be called competitive martial arts according to the name of insiders. Competitive Wushu refers to routine Wushu in competition. Because of the needs of the competition, there are some flashy and difficult movements, and the sports team does not talk about the method of disassembly, unlike traditional Wushu, which has skill training and application training (Sanshou). So generally speaking, athletes are useless. Martial arts, also known as "dance", happens to have a national dance, so it used to be just a joke. It is rarely heard that the official has such a statement, but it is unknown whether it will be adopted by the official in the future. Among the folk schools, it is generally believed that China Wushu will not be popularized. Judging from the actions of the Sports Commission and Wushu Association, although the form of Sanda's ring promotion is relatively successful, it is already in a semi-abandoned state, and now the promotion is an attempt. Those who practice national standard martial arts are called academic schools, while those who practice traditional martial arts are called folk schools. It is said that the master is in the folk, but at present, folk sects are absolutely weak in Wulin, so traditional Wushu is likely to decline.
Generally speaking, the development of competitive Wushu at this stage is basically the development trend of routine and Sanda. The "high, difficult and beautiful" routine pays more attention to skill and appreciation. While the rules of Wushu routine competition are more perfect and digital, people can see the quantitative traces of gymnastics. From the stipulated number of difficulties, quality requirements, less and less basic boxing methods and less and less obvious offensive and defensive characteristics, we can feel that it is a bit difficult to recite the word "Wu". The development of Sanda should be said to be very rapid. It not only undertakes the heavy responsibility of China Wushu attack, but also absorbs the essence of other national fighting forms in the world.
Due to the rapid development of competitive Wushu. Modern Wushu tends to be competitive and performative, and the development of modern Wushu venues also conforms to this change form. Modern Wushu is gradually out of touch with traditional Wushu, and the original characteristics of China Wushu are completely lost. The fusion of modern Wushu and traditional Wushu failed. Many traditional martial artists are not optimistic about the current development of martial arts. Especially in teaching and competition. Traditional Wushu competitions are martial arts, while most of the competitions held by the state are performances and Sanda. Therefore, many modern martial arts schools teach in the form of "standard martial arts". Generally, these schools only offer two classes-Sanda class and routine class. As a result, many modern Wushu teachers generally do not practice routines or specialize in Sanda or only practice routines without practicing Sanda. Stay away from traditional martial arts. Therefore, this kind of martial arts can't be regarded as traditional martial arts at all. It is called "national standard martial arts" (to be precise, it is the national "standard" martial arts) if it really replaces the status of traditional martial arts and becomes modern martial arts.
