Introduction of belt filter press dehydrator

The belt filter press dehydrator consists of upper and lower tensioned filter belts, which take away the sludge layer and pass through a series of rollers arranged regularly in an S shape. Capillary water in the sludge layer is squeezed out by the tension of the filter belt itself, and a mud cake with high solid content is obtained, thus realizing sludge dehydration.

The universal belt filter press dehydrator consists of a filter belt, a roller, a filter belt tensioning system, a filter belt deviation adjusting system, a filter belt cleaning system and a filter belt driving system. When selecting a model, the following aspects should be considered:

(1) filter belt. It requires high tensile strength, bending resistance, acid and alkali resistance, temperature change resistance and other characteristics. At the same time, the specific properties of sludge should be considered, and the appropriate weaving texture should be selected to make the filter belt have good air permeability and interception performance of sludge particles.

(2) Deflection adjustment system of the drum. This is usually done by pneumatic devices.

(3) Filter belt tensioning system. Generally it is also controlled by pneumatic system. The tension of filter belt is generally controlled at 0.3-0.7 MPa, and the common value is 0.5MPa.(4) Belt speed control. Different kinds of sludge have different requirements on the belt speed, that is, there is a new control range of belt speed for any specific sludge, in which the dewatering system can not only ensure a certain treatment capacity, but also obtain high-quality mud cakes.

The belt filter press dehydrator is less affected by the fluctuation of sludge load, and also has the characteristics of low sludge moisture content, stable operation, less startup, relatively simple management and control, and low requirements for the quality of operators. At the same time, because the belt filter press dehydrator entered China earlier, quite a few manufacturers can produce this kind of equipment. In the decision-making of sewage treatment project construction, belt filter press can be selected to reduce the project investment. At present, most newly-built sewage treatment plants in China use belt filter press dehydrators. For example, the five dehydrators in the first phase project of Beijing Gaobeidian Sewage Treatment Plant are all belt filter press dehydrators. Since they were put into operation, the self-loading, rolling and filtration have all worked well. Therefore, this model is still selected for equipment selection in the second stage.
