What is the theme of the work "The Great Kingdom idiom" "The Chronicle of Yitian and the Dragon Slayer" Character Introductions

Based on the rise of Zhu Yuanzhang, a peasant from Anhui Province, and the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, and with the growth of Zhang Wuji as a clue, it recounts the grudges and feuds of various characters from different factions in the Jianghu Lake. It intersects the rise and fall of the Yuan Dynasty with the morality of the jianghu and the grudges and feuds in Chinese history.

The process of writing the book

In 1961, after the first success of "Leaning on Heaven to Slaughter the Dragon," Jin Yong began to write the novel "The Divine Eagles and the Chivalrous Couples," which was serialized in Ming Pao from July 6, 1961 onwards. At that time, The Leaning of Heaven and the Slaughter of the Dragon was still being put together, and it did not end until July 8th. The two novels were published on the same page. He called this work a "shooting sculpture trilogy" along with Ming Pao and The Divine Eagle.

It was serialized in Shooting Sculptures in 1961 and took more than a year to complete. In 1976, the author thoroughly revised the book.In 2003, the author revised Divine Eagles again.

Born on Ice and Fire Island in the North Pole, he recognized Xie Xun as his adoptive father. I grew up in a worldless environment, listening to the teachings of three people, and grew up with a good character. On Xie Xie's Ice and Fire Island, we talked about beating monks with the Seven Injuries Fist. When we reached ten punches, Zhang Wuji said, "Righteous Father, there are still three more punches to come, don't fight anymore. This old monk is a very good person. You hurt him, and you are sorry for that. It's not good if you hurt yourself." With the help of my foster father, he learned some basic martial arts. When I was ten years old, I followed my parents back to the Central Plains on a raft. When the martial arts world learned of Zhang Cuisan and Yin Susu's return, both the righteous and the wicked rushed to surround them, trying to get the whereabouts of Xie Xun and the Dragon Slayer's Way from them by any means possible. As the daughter of Princess Yuan, she was under the command of a cloud of masters, such as the "ghosts and men", specializing in dealing with the martial arts people of the Jianghu Lake. Her style and demeanor is no different at the moment, as Zhao Min can make them serve them faithfully and make them despise the Heavenly Sword. When Zhang Wuji saw Xiao Zhao for the first time, she was limping on her left foot, her back was arched, her right eye was small, her left eye was big, her nose and the corners of her mouth were twisted, and her shape was extremely scary, but it was all an illusion. He got his name because he hooked a rotten silver tiger's head in his left hand and used a ripe iron judge's pen in his right hand. He studied calligraphy, cursive, clerical and seal script, and studied the brushwork of Wang Xizhi's Ming Pao. Holding two ends of a wolf tooth stick, one foot long and six or seven feet long, he is as powerful as a heavenly god. One of his martial arts skills is the blazing noise that can break the heart, the super noise that is so destructive to life. As a teenager, he was so ambitious and intelligent that he was apprenticed to Cheng Kun. He then traveled to the West, joined the Ming Sect, drove out the Tatars, saved the Li tribe, and was soon elevated to the rank of Dharma King. After Chengkun's sister married Yang Dingtian, the head of the Ming Sect, Chengkun hated the Ming Sect to the bone. Chen Youliang's martial arts skills are not high, but his city is very deep and he has a lot of tricks.

Works Appreciation

Works Theme

The theme is profound, there are positive and negative, and a combination.

The first level is "righteousness", that is, the legend of chivalry. It is written about the legendary origin of "the supreme martial arts master, a sword slaying the dragon" and the chivalrous tradition of "serving the country, the people and the chivalry".

The second level is "anti", that is, to write about human characteristics. Of course, the art of dragon slaying is not "ominous". What is truly "ominous" is human greed and desire for power. The reason why those people fought for the sword was the power to slay dragons and to "rule the world". Ironically, almost all of them did not know the truth. In the end, all of them "forget about Qing Qing's life". These novels are basic story lines and narratives with obvious ideological implications.

The third level is "harmony", that is, the combination of legend and history, chivalry and humanity, human conscience and goodwill, historical perspective and ideals. All these "combinations" are of course finally reflected in the main character Zhang Wuji, as well as in the story of Zhang Wuji to General Xu Da. It is also reflected in the author's skillful interpretation of history. After that, Xu Da fought bravely, defeated the Yuan army, and finally led the Northern Expedition to drive the Mongols to the Great Wall, establishing a generation of achievements". The art of war plays a huge role in the Dragon Slayer's Way. Of course, it is "the order of the world, do not dare to disobey".

The real theme of this novel has two layers: opposition to foreign invasion and domestic tyranny.

Artistic Features

Style

It is an imaginative martial arts masterpiece. The love in the book is also more romantic. In terms of imagination, first of all, the author designed the "Heavenly Sword" and "Dragon Slaying Road" throughout the novel, which is very infectious and has become the treasure that all the sects in the Jianghu Lake compete for. This kind of imagination can be regarded as the need of the story structure of the novel, and it is also an innovation different from the previous novels. Secondly, the protagonist of the novel's story is the Ming Sect, and the core character Zhang Wuji eventually becomes the leader of the Ming Sect. The author writes from Dragon Slaughtering Island to Xie Xun, and then lets the Ming Sect characters appear one by one. The emergence of the Great Protector of the Ming Sect was accomplished when the six sects besieged the Top of Light. For example: the left is the messenger of light Yang Xiao, the right is the messenger of light Fan Yao, the king of the four heavenly kings of the Golden Lion King Xie Xie Xun, the purple-robed dragon king of the Golden Granny Yin Tianzheng, the white-browed eagle king, the Blue-winged Bat King, the Ming Sect's Wu San Monk, Zhang Zhong, Iron-crowned Taoist priests, Leng Qian, and Peng Wo-Shang, and so on. All of them are written in a wonderful way, with different characters. Thirdly, the novel both writes about Chinese martial arts masters and focuses on Persia, stating that religion is a branch of the Persian general altar, showing the cooperation and contradiction between the general altar and the branch, and broadening the readers' horizons.

In a specific martial arts environment, chivalry and love in Jin Yong's novels are often skillfully combined, and stereotypical chivalry and courageous, entwined love is a major feature of the novels. First, as told to the judge, Wang Nangu and Hu Qingniu, who both love and compete; He Ji, who love each other but can't come together, becomes a victim of sectarian struggle; and although Zhang Cuishan and Yin Susu can be united, they die for love. With Yang Buren and Yin Liting, two generations can love each other beyond worldly views and so on. All of them are written in a thrilling way. Secondly, the author combines emotional entanglements with factional disputes, political struggles and national opinions. It makes the conflict between love and reality intertwined. Finally, it not only tests the courage of the love protagonists, but also greatly excites the readers' interest in the emotional twists and turns. For example, the purple-shirted Dragon King and Han Qianye have always avoided pursuing Persian religious love. In order to love Zhang Wuji, Zhao Min resolutely puts aside the ties of family and narrow ethnic views; while Zhou Zhiruo twists her love by adhering to the vow of Mrs. Extermination. In this way, the writer has rendered to some extent the tragic colors of the characters in the whirlpool of emotions, enhancing the artistic impact.

The book has a magnificent charm, it not only puts forward the "martial arts supremacy, a sword to slay the dragon". Do not dare to defy the world's orders. "Can not rely on the sky, who fight" slogan of the jianghu, described by the six sects of the siege of the bright peak of the battle, but also the heart-stopping, magnificent.

Like other martial arts novels written by the author, the language of "Qiankun Da Nuo Yi Xin Fa" has a traditional flavor, and its poetic words contain grand historical background and cultural connotations, so that traditional culture shows a new charm.

Characterization

The complexity and weakness of Zhang Wuji's personality is in fact a manifestation of the complexity and weakness of human nature. In the novel, Zhang Wuji's easy-going and almost weak character, complex and almost theme-less character is mainly manifested in the following aspects. Firstly, his character and behavior is not only a product of the environment, but also always influenced by the environment. Despite his martial arts prowess, his character is actually quite indecisive. When everything came to pass, he tended to go with the flow rather than please others, often preferring to sacrifice himself to others. His Xi Gan Kun Da Nuo Yi Xin Fa was requested by Xiao Zhao; becoming the head of the Ming Sect was not only forced by circumstances, but also moved by Yin Tian Zheng and Yin. The engagement to Zhou Zhiruo was ordered by Xie Xun; not worshipping with Zhiruo was forced by Zhao Min. Secondly, his character is more prominently reflected in his attitude towards Zhou Zhiruo, Zhao Min, Li Yin and Xiao Zhao. In between, he is also often forced by the situation. Quite sloppy. If he hadn't died at the end, if he had left and rebelled, I'm afraid he would still be torn between the four girls. It's not like Yang's devotion to Xiaolongnu, or Guo Jing's devotion to Huang Rong. The image of Zhang Wuji may not be "good" for a living individual, but as an artistic image, his significance is enormous. This character is a unique and rare successful artistic image in the entire novel, as well as in martial arts fiction.

Besides Zhang Wuji, the book also focuses on portraying many martial arts characters with different temperaments, such as Xie Xun, the Golden Hair Lion King, the Golden Flower Granny, the Purple-Shirted Dragon King, the Ruyang County Princess Zhao Min, the Spider, Xiaozhao, and Zhou Zhiruo. Each of them is vivid and distinctive, characterized by both blessings and curses. Their natural temperament, right and wrong can be summarized in one sentence. By depicting the life course and destiny of these characters, the author embodies the same grand cultural connotation as its historical background. The author has turned the essence of traditional Chinese thoughts of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism into the life stories in his works without any trace of trace, quietly deriving them, and naturally and calmly displaying the modern charm of ancient culture. The language of the book is fluent and sophisticated, the structure is grand and fine, the plot has ups and downs, and the story development is often unexpected and unhurried.

Jin Yong gets rid of the moral judgment mode of either good or evil when analyzing and evaluating people. He believes that there is no absolute standard for the so-called good guys and bad guys, and that people are not divided into good and bad parts. In The Mourning Post, he expresses an outlook on life: in the world in which people live, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between the so-called good and evil, good and evil. Not what the whole world thinks is good is good. Similarly, what the whole world thinks is bad is not necessarily bad. In Zhao Min's novels, readers initially thought he was a villain, but later realized that he was a decent person. Zhou Zhiruo, who was always thought to be a decent person, turned out to be a terrible villain. Jin Yong wrote Zoroastrianism as a magical religion at first, but in the end Jin Yong sympathized with them. Jin Yong said about this, "The so-called distinction between evil and good is sometimes not so easy to tell. In life, it is not always easy to distinguish between good and bad. At the same time, due to the influence of the environment, a person can be very good at first, and then slowly become bad, such as Zhou Zhiruo. And Zhao Min was originally bad and then became good because of her environment." On the level of human nature, people are not good or bad because of differences in ethnicity, status, beliefs and so on. In the martial arts, there is a difference between good and evil, a battle of nationalities, and the conclusions drawn by standards other than human nature are often far from the truth. The head of the Emei Sect kills under the banner of justice, in the name of supreme justice and unquestionable righteousness. She has never spared her own disciple Ji, who fell in love with the "evil school" and slapped her favorite disciple to death.
