Khamzat Chmayev was born in Chechnya, an ethnic group in southwestern Russia that is known for its valor and fighting skills. The Chechens are more forceful and fierce than the Russians, so it's not surprising that Chmayev, who was born in Chechnya, is so fierce. During his childhood, Chimaev took wrestling as his only recreational activity, and he won many championships in many competitions organized by his school. Upon arriving in Sweden, Chimaev joined the local wrestling sports team, and with his excellent wrestling prowess, he quickly showed his mettle, winning the Swedish 92kg free wrestling nationals in 2017. Chimaev switched to MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and with his excellent wrestling prowess and acumen for fighting, he picked up a six-fight winning streak in Sweden.
