Three Traditions of Scientific Research
According to the main line of history, scientific social research can be divided into scientific sociology based on positivism tradition, scientific knowledge sociology with "strong program" as the core and scientific research based on ordinary people's methodology. These are three important directions and traditions of scientific social research. Among them, each tradition is a complex combination of philosophy and sociology. They all continue their lives in different fields. Each tradition has a different historical projection in the meaning of the terms "science" and "rationality". Therefore, in practice, the boundary between them is not always clear. When they are studied from a practical point of view by sociological methods, they are extremely similar, although their conclusions are different.
