Brief introduction of Zhang Hailong.

Zhang Hailong, born in May, 1942, was born in Feng Run, Hebei. 1960 graduated from PLA Foreign Languages Institute, 1965 graduated from Chinese Department of Beijing Radio and TV University. He is currently a member of China Calligraphers Association, vice president of China Bamboo and Silk Calligraphy Research Institute, consultant of Calligraphy and Painting Society of PLA Information Engineering University, consultant of Henan Calligraphers Association, director of Henan Couplet Society, director of Zhengzhou Calligraphers Association and executive director of China Shaolin Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute. Zhang Hailong loved calligraphy since he was a child, and he liked to collect inscriptions of ancient celebrities. Over the years, he has accumulated more than ten thousand volumes. His calligraphy is good in four aspects, with official script and running script as the most important. Running script comes from Jin people and Song people, and cursive script pursues the charm of Zhang Xu and Huai Su. The official script pursues simplicity, adopts the style of ritual, Mawangdui silk script, Han bamboo slips and Zhong Dingwen's bold and simple brushwork, and forms a unique official script style of "clumsy, heavy and big". His works were exhibited in Japan and given as gifts to friends in the United States, Japan and Hong Kong.
