Who is the inventor of the Chinese lunar calendar?
The inventor of the Chinese lunar calendar was Wannian of the Xia Dynasty.
He invented the perpetual calendar based on the lunar calendar and the movement of the sun, so later generations also called the lunar calendar the perpetual calendar.
The lunar calendar is the traditional Chinese calendar. It belongs to the lunar and yang calendar. Its years are divided into ordinary years and leap years. There are twelve months in ordinary years and thirteen months in leap years.
