How to Implement 5S Management in Printing Industry

In view of these situations in the printing industry, 5S management can be implemented from the following aspects to improve and enhance on-site management.

1. Use IE (industrial engineering) to carry out on-site 5S activities in different regions in the form of special improvement in terms of regional layout, control of resources and raw materials, and environmental improvement;

The regional layout is mainly carried out from the following aspects: through reasonable regional layout, raw materials, auxiliary materials, production tools such as ink, ink scraper, fountain solution, rag, printing adjustment tools, white materials, semi-finished products, finished products, paper tables, etc. should be stored in designated places according to regulations. Different production items shall be placed in different areas according to regulations, and no paper or sundries shall be placed on the passage, forming a fixed-point management system. Eliminate the littering of paper wool, scraps of paper, waste paper, water, oil and ink on the ground or on the machine. Remove the waste paper on the ground and under the machine platform in time, and always keep the site clean and tidy. Thus, the production site has been obviously improved, and the effect of making the best use of everything and being orderly has been achieved.

Specific measures are:

A. Paper, products or waste products in production and operation, as well as paper tables, bookbinding boards, bookpressing boards, etc. Those that flow with the products should be clearly marked on the ground for location and storage, and no matter who is in charge of the area, they should not be placed outside the boundary.

B. Ground marking, with different colors of paint for production site and ground marking. For example, the channel is yellow, the in-process processing area is green, the raw material area is blue, the defective product processing area is red and white, and the waste area is red. The use of these colors should be unified in the whole factory, and the implementation rules should be formulated. Special attention should be paid to clearly marking the visitors' passages and passages unrelated to production, and warning signs such as "Participants and persons unrelated to production should take special passages, and are not allowed to enter the processing zone without permission" should be set up to ensure that on-site production is not disturbed.

C ink barrels, buckets, mops, accessories and tools needed in production activities should be located and stored, and placed in saddle shelter as far as possible.

D tool cabinets, workstations, tables and chairs should be placed from the perspective of applicability and beauty, and they are not allowed to move at will.

Once the storage location of the above items is determined, it shall not be changed at will. If the product can't flow in the peak season, it needs temporary adjustment. They must be coordinated by the workshop director, and special attention should be paid to finishing them at any time. Do not set up stalls in disorder, and occupy venues and spaces that do not belong to this area.

2. By controlling the resource raw materials (paper, ink and printing plate), the handling time is reduced, the waste of raw materials is reduced, the cost is reduced and the efficiency is improved.

(1) paper control: ensure that paper, semi-finished products, waste pages and waste paper do not fall to the ground during production and operation.

Specific measures are:

A. In the process of production and operation, rough copying of all large pages, book stickers and books, etc. , each bundle is the same size, each volume is numbered accurately, packed neatly and the quantity is consistent. In case of odd bits, it should be marked with a note, and it is not allowed to be scattered irregularly, let alone on the ground, and all of them should be covered with toilet paper. Dirty and damaged toilet paper can no longer be used.

B waste paper and rotten pages returned in the production process are all put into waste paper boxes or wastebaskets, and waste paper is not exposed.

C the pipes for binding and milling back paper wool should be smooth and undamaged, and the scraps of paper shoveled from the waste cover of book repair should be conveniently put into the waste paper bucket, and they should not be littered anywhere. When the scattered scraps of paper on the job site are put into work or replaced, the bucket should be cleaned. The paper wool cut by the broadsword is pushed into the basket, filled with a basket and dumped. It is not allowed to pile up on the ground for centralized cleaning. The paper wool on the three-sided knife conveyor belt should be easily pushed into the paper wool pit. When changing knives at the job site, a special person should be appointed to clean them thoroughly, and stacking is allowed after work. Clean up the paper wool pit in the paper wool room once a week to ensure that the paper wool pipeline is not blocked and the conveyor belt in the pit operates normally.

D. Check the waste pages extracted from large pages, and don't throw them on the ground at will. The long version is counted by pages, and the short version is counted by pages. After checking, arrange the code table in time and make statistics according to the reasons of waste times. Fill in the large page code check list and notify the printer.

E. For loose paper and tube cores encountered by rubber tires, count the bar codes on the paper table, clear one by one, temporarily store them in the workshop, and cover them in an inconspicuous position.

F appoint an assistant to clean the printed pages and send them to the designated place for storage in time. Except for a small amount of printing paper, no waste pages are allowed to be piled up at the production site.

(2) Ink, butter, engine oil and gasoline are all enclosed except for random use.

Specific measures are:

A. Except those that must be used at any time, oil and various inks are not allowed to be placed on the production site at will. The utensils used in the production process, such as ink drums and oil drums, should be wiped clean and free of oil stains and ink marks.

B. Add a proper amount of ink to prevent the ink in the ink tank from overflowing, and the handle of the ink shovel is clean.

C. Old oil sprayed by butter spray, engine oil dripped by engine oil spray and gasoline dripped by wiping board should be wiped off with cloth.

D. repair the oil leakage equipment in time. If it can't be repaired for a while, it should also be recycled in containers, especially the oil and ink spilled on the ground or pedals around the machine should be wiped off at any time.

(3) The bookbinding board, binding board (rope) and PS version should be positioned and used smoothly and orderly.

Specific measures are:

A all kinds of binding boards (ropes) are not allowed to throw rubber-tyred binding splints and ropes at random at the production site. They are only used for color printing and book rubber-tyred page binding. In the process of page matching, the unpacked books should be packed neatly, and 100 bookends should be tied into a bundle, which should be arranged neatly from beginning to end. When the pages are finished, put them back on the rubber wheel. The binding board for hardcover is only used in hardcover category, and will be stored in hardcover category for reuse after use. The binding board (rope) for folding is only used for folding. After the flow direction is matched, it will be stored by the page matching process and returned collectively.

B. When using the bookcase, handle it with care and don't throw it around.

C.PS version should be kept fresh, and the waste version should be handed over to the plate supply center for recycling in time. The PS version of the spare cover should also be stored on the plate storage rack, and the name and version should be marked. In order to find it, don't stand around the machine or throw it on the ground.

3. Through the improvement of the workshop environment, 5S activities have become intuitive and operable in the production site, and the participation has expanded.

(1) Don't spray water on equipment, paper and semi-finished products, and there should be no water on the ground.

Specific measures are:

A. the water supply pipe shall not leak and the sewer shall be unblocked. The pool is completely transformed into tile veneer, mop cloth and towel are installed, and towels and soap are provided for operators to wash their hands at any time.

B. Each floor of the workshop should be divided into responsibility areas, and designated personnel should mop the floor with water. It is forbidden to splash water on the floor or dry sweep with a broom, which will be dirty, move and fall on products, workstations and equipment. After use, the pool should be cleaned at any time, without water around it, and the pool surface should be clean.

C put the drinking water thermos in the designated place, and the water supplier shall be responsible for filling the water at the designated time, and the water shall not overflow the ground.

D. The fountain solution used by the machine should be changed frequently, which shall be crystal clear. Do not splash water on the equipment when cleaning the board.

(2) Minimize dust entering the production site. At the production site, the walls are always clean and the windows are bright and clean. The stored equipment, windowsill, workbench, white paper, auxiliary materials and finished products should be dust-free by hand.

Specific measures are:

A. All around the workshop are hardened except for planting flowers and trees, so as to reduce dust pollution sources; The forklift that feeds paper into the workshop should also be wiped clean; The paper roll and dust on the surface of the paper table can only be sent to the workshop after being wiped clean.

B the skylights of major large-scale equipment workshops are all sealed with glass, and the walls below the window sill of the printing site are all painted. All doors and windows are divided into responsibility areas and cleaned once a month.

C windowsill, workbench, tool cabinets, tables and chairs should be cleaned once a day, and the responsibility lies with people, leaving no dead ends.

D. All equipment shall be equipped with a cover cloth. The stored paper and products are made into durable cover paper (fiberboard, pasted corrugated paper, laminated kraft paper, etc.). ) In the workshop. Whoever uses the equipment is responsible, and whoever keeps the paper and finished products is responsible. Clean up the floating soil once a week.

E. All doors and windows in the workshop should be maintained regularly to ensure that there are no broken doors and windows and broken glass, and try not to open windows except in summer.

(3) Items unrelated to production on site shall be cleaned up in time, and relevant configurations shall be uniform, applicable and beautiful.

Specific measures are:

A. Conditional team sites should partition the dressing room, and set clothes hooks, shoe racks, tableware and drinking utensils storage racks.

B. Multi-functional workbench and tool cabinet shall be uniformly configured. Chairs shall be provided for positions that need to sit and work, and tools cabinets and broken tables, stools and other sundries that have been idle for a long time shall be cleaned.

C. Operators of large printing presses are required to wear full sets of working underarms and rubber shoes when going to work to ensure the safety of the machine.

D lamps and lanterns in the workshop shall be installed uniformly to ensure the brightness of production lighting, and shall not be placed anywhere.

E. slogans, flags, signs, etc. Hanging on the wall or at the top of the production site, with reasonable position and beautiful layout.

Through 5S management, we can reform and improve the above aspects, eliminate waste and unnecessary labor in the production process of printing industry, improve the production efficiency of enterprise departments, reduce production costs, improve product quality, and reduce or even eliminate the unqualified rate of products. Advanced 5S management technology plays a great role in the management of printing enterprises.
