Guiyang Museum

Guizhou Provincial Museum, a comprehensive museum, is a public institution under the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guizhou Province.

The total number of collections in Guizhou Provincial Museum is more than 80,000 pieces, ethnic cultural relics, Guizhou paleontological fossils, Paleolithic unearthed artifacts, and various kinds of cultural relics reflecting the local history, humanity and cultural diversity are the highlights of the collection, among which the Chinese Miao costume library and the Chinese Miao silver jewelry library ranked first in the country.

On December 19, 1997, the Guizhou Provincial Museum was named "provincial patriotic education base" by the provincial party committee and the provincial government of Guizhou Province, and in 2020, the Guizhou Provincial Museum was selected as "the fourth batch of national-level museums list".

Guizhou Provincial Museum has a collection of more than 80,000 pieces, including ethnic cultural relics unique in China, China's Miao costume library and China's Miao silver jewelry library ranked first in the country, the collection of fossilized paleontologists in Guizhou, the Paleolithic era of unearthed artifacts, reflecting the local history of humanities and cultural diversity of all kinds of cultural relics.

1, Ethnic Guizhou Theme Exhibition Hall

Ethnic Guizhou Theme Exhibition Hall is mainly to display the ethnic culture and cultural relics of the Han Chinese, Miao, Buyi, Dong and other ethnic groups, exhibits include Guiyang City Huaxi Miao women's clothing, Guiyang Miao picking the square flower back fan, Miao colorful picks. "The exhibits include Guiyang Huaxi Miao women's dresses, Guiyang Miao square flower back fans, Miao colorful picks, Miao colorful picks, geometric back fans, Huangping County Gejia picks, Liuzhi Buyei batik women's dresses, Miao silver ornaments, and so on.

2. Paleontological Kingdom Theme Exhibition Hall

The exhibits in the Paleontological Kingdom Theme Exhibition Hall include the urnan Biota, the Kaili Biota, and the Triassic marine reptile fossils from Guanling, Xingyi and Panxian. The exhibits include copper carriage, Pingbao bell, copper seal of Guandao of the military department of Guizhou Qingjiang Association, copper belt hook with skeleton lion and lacquer ear cup.
