Grandparents, family and friends are like brothers.
General Chen Geng and General Tan Zheng were both born in a feudal gentleman's family in Xiangxiang, Hunan. Grandparents are local celebrities and have a very close relationship. Chen Geng is three years older than Tan Zheng. He studied in Mengguan Private School in Nanzhu Village, Tanjia, and took care of Tan Zheng like a brother. The two of them became good partners in childhood.
Chen Geng's father, Chen Shaochun, is an open-minded man. His education in Chen Geng was brand-new at that time, and Chen Geng finished his private school and was admitted to Dongshan School. This higher primary school was a progressive school at that time, which spread a lot of revolutionary theories and knowledge and laid the ideological foundation for Chen Geng to embark on the revolutionary road.
Tan Zheng was originally named Tan Shiming, and his father Tan Runqu was a conservative teacher. He raised his son according to the old traditional education method, hoping that Tan Zheng would become a descendant of "scholarly family".
The Revolution of 1911 broke the tranquility of mountain villages in the past, and the Mongolian Museum was changed into a primary school receiving national education. Eight-part essays such as Four Books and Five Classics were banned from reading, and Tanrun District found out that there was a private school in Toure Liu Shupu, which was seven or eight miles away from home.
As luck would have it, Chen Geng lives in Toure Liu Shupu, so Tan Zheng lives in the Chen family.

Enlighten Tan Zheng with revolutionary knowledge and actions.
After living in the Chen family, what Tan Zheng is looking forward to most is that Chen Geng will go home and tell him about the school and the revolutionary books he has read. Chen Geng told him patiently that you must find a way to help you break the shackles of feudal families, and Dongshan High School must strive to be admitted. Studying in this school is the most educational for the young people of our time. At school, we can often read some progressive books, periodicals and newspapers, and learn about the workers' movement, peasant uprising, students' solidarity with the workers and peasants' movement and so on earlier.
Chen Geng's words are firmly in Tan Zheng's mind. He made up his mind to go to Dongshan Middle School to receive new knowledge, just like Chen Geng.
In a blink of an eye, the three-year private school is over. Tan Zheng repeatedly begged his father to allow him to enter Dongshan School, but Tan Runqu still refused.
Tan Zheng had to go back to his home in Nanzhu Village, but at this time Tan Zheng had accepted the influence of the thought of saving the nation from extinction, and the feudal family atmosphere made him feel depressed. Fortunately, after living in Chen Jiasheng for three years, I fell in love with Chen Geng's fourth sister Qiu Ju, so I entrusted Chen Geng's younger brother to tip them off and relieve their worries. Qiu Ju told him in the letter that Brother Chen Geng could not tolerate the trampling of the Chinese nation by imperialist aggressors and resolutely signed up as a soldier. His eldest brother is very concerned about his admission to Dongshan High School. When he left school as a soldier, he also entrusted the party teacher of Dongshan High School to apply for Dongshan High School for him.

Tan Zheng realized that this was the best opportunity to break through the shackles of feudal families, so he took a hunger strike as a struggle. Tan Runqu had no choice but to tie his son's heart at home, so he married Qiu Ju to the Tan family and became the last weight to control his son.
During Tan Zheng's study in Dongshan Senior High School, Chen Geng has become a staunch party member of China's * * * production party, and has repeatedly written to encourage Tan Zheng: "To save China, we can't just rely on political struggle. Because our enemies have guns, if the revolution is to succeed, the revolutionary people must have their own armed forces! " Under the influence of Chen Geng, Tan Zheng read many revolutionary books in Dongshan Middle School. After graduation, he resolutely wrote to Chen Geng, asking to enter oneself for an examination in Huangpu Military Academy and take part in the revolutionary struggle.
1955 In September, Chen Geng and Tan Zheng became generals of the Republic of China at the same time.
Chen Jiamu Tong-Commander Lu Dongsheng
Meet in the revolutionary army
Chen Geng's childhood friend Lu Dongsheng is five years younger than Chen Geng. He was born in a tenant farmer's house. When he was just seven years old, he came to Chen Geng to herd sheep. Chen Geng didn't regard Dongsheng as a servant, but regarded him as a brother. 19 16, Chen Geng left home to join the army. The next year, Dongsheng left the Chen family to be an apprentice in a factory in Xiangtan, where he experienced eight years of miserable life, making him understand that the only way to change this tragic fate is to take part in the revolution like Brother Chen Geng.

1925 in the first month of the lunar calendar, Lu Dongsheng followed Chen Geng's action and quietly went to Hengyang to meet the Fourth Division of Tang Shengzhi Xiang Army. In the second year, this unit was reorganized into the Eighth Army of the National Revolutionary Army to participate in the Northern Expedition. When Lu Dongsheng arrived in Wuhan with the troops, he accidentally met Chen Geng, who was sent to the Tang Shengzhi army spy camp as a battalion commander, and became a comrade-in-arms in the same trench.
Adversity and * * saw the truth.
After the Nanchang Uprising started, Lu Dongsheng followed Chen Geng, who was a battalion commander in He Long, all the way to Guangdong. Near Huichang, Chen Geng led 1 battalion to confront the enemy head-on, and successively captured three enemy hilltops. However, the troops attacking the two wings went the wrong way and failed to arrive on time, leaving Chen Geng's troops alone and suffering heavy casualties.
Chen Geng walked at the end of the line to cover the troops' retreat. The crazy enemy strafed with machine guns. A shuttle bullet hit Chen Geng's left leg, and his knee tendon and ankle bone were fractured. Blood stained the grass and the water in the field ditch, and Chen Geng was in a coma. At this time, Lu Dongsheng, who had been with Chen Geng, was very worried. He shook Chen Geng gently and said, "Battalion commander, I'll help you go." Chen Geng said, no, the enemy will catch up soon, I can't leave, you run! Dongsheng resolutely refused to go, determined to help Chen Geng, and was given a hard push by Chen Geng; "Let's go!" When the enemy approached, Lu Dongsheng hid in a pile of grass nearby.
In order not to spare a living person, the enemy searched every body with a gun. Chen Geng feigned death and was severely kicked by the enemy. A few hours later, another batch of troops arrived, and Chen Geng got another butt on his waist. He secretly opened his eyes and saw that it was from the uprising troops. He quickly shouted: "I am one of our own!" " ! At this time, Lu Dongsheng stood out from the haystack and said, "I have come to prove that he is our battalion commander." . So, these soldiers took them to Huichang headquarters and met their most wanted comrade Zhou Enlai.
. Because Chen Geng was too seriously injured to move with the troops, Lu Dongsheng accompanied him all the way, passing through Tingzhou, Fujian, Shantou, Guangdong and Hong Kong, and went through hardships all the way, avoiding numerous interrogations and raids by the enemy. In this way, with wit, courage and loyalty, Lu Dongsheng took Chen Geng, a gunshot victim who could be found by the enemy at any time and could not move, and returned to Shanghai safely by boat.

Under the careful care of Lu Dongsheng, Chen Geng returned to his home in Shanghai.
One day, Zhou Enlai came to Chen Geng's residence. Chen Geng and Lu Dongsheng are very excited. Zhou Enlai briefly analyzed the grim situation faced by our Party and instructed Lu Dongsheng to escort He Long and Zhou Yiqun back to western Hunan and Hubei to open up revolutionary base areas. Lu Dongsheng was sad and reluctant to leave his eldest brother who lived with Chen Geng day and night to perform a new task. Chen Geng said, emotionally speaking, I really don't want you to go. I'm afraid I'll keep you. You go with He and Yi Qun. As long as we don't die, we will meet again someday. If there is an opportunity in the future, try to make up the culture and go to school. Especially practicing speaking, eloquence is a necessary condition for achieving great things. This is my farewell message to you. Entrusted by Zhou Enlai, Chen Geng and his wife, Wang Genying, were introduced to the Party by Lu Dongsheng, realizing his long-cherished wish.
Lu Dongsheng kept in mind Chen Geng's entrustment, paid attention to study in the revolutionary struggle, and constantly improved his political theory level, leadership level and working ability. He served as company commander, battalion commander, colonel, division commander and division political commissar in the Red Army, and moved to Hunan, Hubei and Honghu areas, becoming one of the pioneers in opening up the western Soviet area of Hunan and Hubei.
