I am Rezi Festival, which is the Spring Festival in Kazakhstan. In Kazakh, "Nawu Rezi" means "to bid farewell to the old and welcome the new". According to the ancient Kazakh calendar, this festival indicates that the Spring Festival of the new year is coming soon, and Kazakhs call the month starting from this day "Nawurezi" month. On this day, every household eats a kind of Nawurezi rice made of seven kinds of food: wheat, millet, rice, flour, salt, meat and milk. This rice fragrance Xian Yi is rich in nutrition. People wear bright national costumes to congratulate each other. The host will entertain the guests with the rice he cooked. After dinner, people will like singing, dancing and playing games.
In order to bid farewell to the old year and usher in the new year, people not only eat "Nawu Rezi" rice, but also eat beef rib enema, horse fat sausage, minced horse meat enema, horse neck meat, horse pelvis wrapped meat and other winter-treasured meat. On this day, people flock from one village to another, visit families, eat "Nawurezi" meals, sing "Nawurezi" songs, hug each other and congratulate the New Year.
