Notes on watching Beijing Opera

Today, we are honored to come to the Auditorium of Shanhai Middle School to watch the special performance "Interpreting the Popularization of Peking Opera".

As we all know, Peking Opera is the quintessence of our country and the treasure of our ancient culture. However, because the music of Peking Opera is not what our students like, it is not as lively as pop music, and in our eyes, some Peking Opera is boring and its singing is very funny, which leads many students to dislike listening to the quintessence of this country. However, by watching the performance with explanations today, we know that Beijing Opera is actually a very interesting art. ..

In this performance, the commentator made up the lesson of Peking Opera culture for us, and introduced a lot of knowledge about Peking Opera, such as life, Dan, quietness and ugliness. A lot of knowledge was hidden in these four lines. Beijing opera is mainly manifested in singing, reading, doing and playing, which is understood as a multi-cultural comprehensive art. The means of expression of Beijing opera are: emptiness, freehand brushwork, honesty and exaggeration. I was surprised to find that Beijing Opera has so much knowledge.

We watched four Beijing operas carefully today and fully felt the strong attraction of Beijing opera. It is not tasteless, but interesting, such as clowns in Beijing opera, which brings us a lot of joy. In Beijing opera, actors can show things and scenes that don't exist on the stage by virtual means, such as opening doors, feeding chickens, embroidery and so on.

From this activity, I fully understand the greatness of Peking Opera, and I will pay more and more attention to these traditional cultures in my later life.
