What are the characteristics of SARS psychotropic drugs? Analysis

Objective To describe the drug effects, clinical applications and adverse reactions of atypical antipsychotics. Methods: Atypical antipsychotics reported in the literature in recent years were summarized. Results Atypical antipsychotics, including ziprasidone, risperidone, clozapine, olanzapine, aripiprazole, quetiapine, and loxapine, have been developed and used clinically. Risperidone, olanzapine, quetiapine, and ziprasidone are helpful for the full treatment of schizophrenia patients due to their high medication compliance and safety, and can be used as first-line drugs for the treatment of schizophrenia; Clozapine has become a second-line drug because of its granulocytopenia and the need for frequent blood cell count monitoring. Low doses of loxapine can be used as a first-line antipsychotic. Conclusion Atypical antipsychotics are more effective than typical antipsychotics on negative symptoms, cognitive dysfunction, hostility and affective symptoms. It has certain efficacy in preventing relapse and refractory patients. Atypical antipsychotics reduce adverse reactions such as EPS and tardive dyskinesia compared with classic antipsychotics. The main disadvantage of atypical antipsychotics is that they are not as good as classic antipsychotics in treating the initial stages of acute schizophrenia or acute agitation. It has a quick onset of action; there is a lack of long-acting preparations and short-acting intramuscular injection preparations; such as olanzapine, which causes obesity and increases body weight to varying degrees. Low-dose loxapine has more characteristics of atypical antipsychotics, and EPS adverse reactions still occur when used in large doses.
