Types of classroom teaching atmosphere

Classroom atmosphere is a comprehensive psychological state presented in the classroom, which can be measured by certain psychological and behavioral indicators. Based on order, participation and communication, we divide the classroom atmosphere into three main types: positive classroom atmosphere, negative classroom atmosphere and confrontational classroom atmosphere.

A positive classroom atmosphere is an ideal classroom atmosphere. Mainly manifested in the following obvious characteristics: both teachers and students have full enthusiasm, correct attitude towards teaching and learning, and clear goals; Classroom activities are orderly; Students are eager for knowledge, focused and active in thinking; The emotional communication between teachers and students is full, students participate extensively, and the two sides are in an interactive and positive state; Teachers and students are full of joy and satisfaction in achieving teaching goals.

In short, the positive classroom atmosphere is mainly manifested in the organic unity of seriousness, generosity and strictness, heat and cold, tension and relaxation. This classroom atmosphere harmoniously unifies the leading role of teachers' teaching and the main role of students' learning.

Antagonistic classroom atmosphere is an out-of-control and chaotic classroom atmosphere. This classroom atmosphere is mainly manifested as follows: the relationship between teachers and students is tense, and most students don't trust teachers; Teachers' ability to master classroom style and arouse students' enthusiasm is poor; A considerable number of students hate classes, are distracted, go their own way, and the classroom order is chaotic; It makes normal teaching activities difficult to carry out, and the tasks of teaching and learning are often impossible to complete; Teachers and students regard teaching and learning as a mental burden.
