How to light the charcoal?
1, stacking charcoal: after cracking the charcoal with a stone into close to long strips, pick out charcoal that is close to the same length and size and line it up in a tic-tac-toe shape, about 2 layers.
2. Arrange the kindling: You can put 2 or 3 pieces of kindling at a time, and place them in the empty space in the center of the charcoal, so that the kindling is some distance away from the charcoal. If it is placed right under the charcoal, the flame of the kindling will be easily pressed out by the charcoal.
3. Help the charcoal pile "add a lid": After the kindling is lit, pick long strips or pieces of charcoal and stack them on top of the pile to cover the kindling like a pot lid, remembering to keep a gap between the charcoal and the charcoal to allow for air circulation. Wait 23 minutes for the charcoal to burn red, then you can lay the charcoal, which was originally elevated, flat and start grilling the meat.
