Baolin Zhang, a master of dough sculpture, was born in Baolin Zhang, 1954, a Beijinger. 1970 began to create dough sculptures. His works have a wide range of themes, diverse forms, accurate modeling and vivid images. Representative works include miniature walnut dough sculpture "Hundred Single Eight Generals", ivory sculpture "Eight Immortals", jade sculpture "Buddha with Thousand Hands and Thousand Eyes" and colored sculpture "Guanyin". Baolin Zhang's large-scale theme dough sculpture technique "Portraits of Cultural Celebrities in China", in which Baolin Zhang created 133 famous figures, is praised as "the treasure of dough sculpture" and "a pioneering work in the history of dough sculpture art" in the art world. Baolin Zhang's creation not only shows traditional themes, but also dabbles in the extremely difficult celebrity statues in dough sculpture ... Baolin Zhang has successively made statues for Sierra Leonean President Stevens, President Mobutu, world-famous conductor Lorraine Marcel, famous pianist Richard Clayderman and wives of some foreign envoys in China.
