Matters needing attention in driving new energy vehicles

Many drivers who used to drive traditional fuel vehicles switched to new energy vehicles after short-term training after returning to work. However, some drivers are confused because the operation of new energy vehicles, especially pure electric vehicles, is different from that of traditional vehicles. Here we will explain the precautions for starting and driving new energy vehicles (pure electric vehicles) one by one. It is convenient for drivers to operate new energy vehicles more skillfully.

Initiate preventive measures

1. Before starting, check the vehicle, especially the parts prone to air leakage such as tires, gas pipelines and rubber parts. It is also important to determine whether the charging gun of the vehicle has been pulled out.

2. Turn on the power switch.

3. Turn on the rocker switch (main switch). Some models without rocker switch can skip this step.

4. Turn the key to the ON position (don't start it) and observe the SOC and battery voltage of the instrument. If the SOC is lower than 20% or does not support one-day mileage, it needs to be recharged or repaired immediately. If the battery voltage (when not started) is lower than 20V, it means that the battery is under-charged and needs to be repaired.

5. Start the vehicle, and pay attention to the interval between the key switch and the starting gear of 3-5 seconds. If it is a new generation of new energy vehicles such as black/Bai Jingang, it can be started after the boot screen is over.

6. Observe the instrument after starting. Whether the air pressure, high pressure and battery voltage (26V-27V after starting) of the vehicle can reach normal values. Whether the instrument has alarm symbol or text alarm.

Precautions for vehicle driving

1. Due to the characteristics of new energy vehicles, the vehicle needs to step on the accelerator slowly when starting. Pure electric auto start is fast and can't start with the accelerator like a traditional car. Drivers are advised to try starting several times before leaving the factory to adapt to the characteristics of the vehicle.

2. Pure electric vehicle can convert braking energy into electric energy for recycling because of its braking feedback function. It will also make it easy for drivers to over-brake when braking (so-called braking impulse). Therefore, it is necessary for drivers to take a taxi before the parking place as much as possible and step on the brakes slowly.

Preventive measures for power failure and flameout

1. Turn off the air conditioner before flameout, and confirm that the air conditioner compressor does not work.

2. Turn off all lights and auxiliary power. This is very important. There have been many cases where the battery is not fully charged because of power failure.

3. Turn off the key switch.

4. Turn off the rocker switch.

5. Turn off the power switch.
