What are the four common forms of organization
There are four common organizational forms: linear, functional, line-functional and matrix.
The linear structure is the simplest and most basic form of organization, and is also the oldest form of organizational structure. It is characterized by vertical leadership at all levels of the enterprise from top to bottom, in a pyramid structure. The term matrix structure sounds somewhat academic, but it is actually a higher level organizational structure model.
