What are some literature or movie about "head down"?
Wu King Helu of Wu became the hegemon of the south after defeating Chu. The state of Yue was an adjoining state of Wu, and it had never been at odds with Wu. In 496 B.C., King Goujian of Yue assumed the throne. In order to conquer Yue, the king of Wu sent troops to attack Yue. The two countries fought a great battle in the place of bright red skin and Li. King Helu of Wu was full of hope that he could win the battle, but he did not expect to lose the battle, and he himself was seriously wounded by an arrow, plus he was old, so he returned to the state of Wu, and he breathed his last.
After the death of King Helu of Wu, his son Fu Chai assumed the throne. On his deathbed, King Helu said to Fu Chai, "Don't forget to avenge the death of Yue."
Fuchai remembered this instruction and told his men to remind him often. When he passed through the palace gate, his men shouted at the top of their voices, "Fu Chai! Have you forgotten that the king of Yue killed your father?"
Fu Chai said with tears in his eyes, "No, I dare not forget."
To avenge his father's death, Fu Chai told Wu Zixu and another minister, Bo Qi, to train their troops and prepare to attack Yue. As a result, Yue was defeated, and King Goujian of Yue was then captured in Wu. In order to humiliate him, the King of Wu sent him to look after the tomb and feed the horses, which were the work of a servant. Although the king was not convinced, he still tried his best to pretend to be loyal and obedient. When the king of Wu went out, he walked in front of him and led his horse; when the king of Wu was sick, he took care of him as best he could at his bedside. The king of Wu saw that he served him with such devotion and felt that he was very loyal to him, so he finally allowed him to return to the state of Yue.
When Goujian returned to the state of Yue, he was determined to avenge his death. Lest the immediate comfort should kill his ambition, he hung a bitter gall bladder where he ate, and whenever he ate, he tasted the bitter flavor first, and asked himself, "Have you forgotten the shame of Huiji?" He also removed his mat and used firewood as a mattress. This is what people later recounted as the "lying down and tasting the gall".
Determined to make the state of Yue rich and strong, Goujian took part in farming himself and told his wife to weave her own cloth to encourage production. Because of the catastrophe of Yue's demise, the population was greatly reduced, and he devised a system of incentives for childbirth. He asked Wen Qi to manage the state affairs, and Fan Li to train the men, and he himself listened to the opinions of others with an open mind, and relieved the poor and needy people. All the people of the country were eager to make more efforts to change this oppressed country into a strong one.
When King Goujian of the Yue Dynasty was gradually strengthening his country by reorganizing its internal affairs and production, he and his two ministers, Fan Li and Wen Zi, often discussed how to conquer the state of Wu.
In 484 BC, King Fu-chai of Wu was going to fight Qi. Wu Zixu hurried to see Fu Chai and said, "I have heard that Gou Tramp is lying on his back, sharing the people's pain and suffering, and it looks like he must want to avenge Wu's death. If we don't get rid of him, there will always be a problem. I hope that the Great King will go and destroy the state of Yue first."
Wu Zixu, the king of Wu, did not listen to him, but led his troops to attack Qi, and returned victorious. All the officials congratulated him, but only Wu Zixu criticized him, saying, "Defeating Qi is only a small advantage, but it is a big trouble when Yue comes to destroy Wu."
As a result, Wu Zixu became more and more disliked by Fu Zhai, and Bo Zhai spoke ill of Wu Zixu behind Wu Zhai's back. He gave Wu Zixu a sword and forced him to commit suicide. When Wu Zixu was dying, he angrily said to the messenger, "Gouge out my eyes and put them at the east gate of Wu, so that I can see how Goujian fought his way in."
Fuchai killed Wu Zixu and appointed Bo great fortune to be the dazai.
In 475 B.C.E., King Goujian of Yue made full preparations and attacked Wu on a large scale, and Wu suffered defeat after defeat. The Yue army surrounded the capital of Wu for two years, and Fu Chai, driven to desperation, said, "I have no face to see Wu Zixu." With that, he covered his face with his clothes and committed suicide.
Later, Goujian went north to the Central Plains to make an alliance with his vassals and became the last hegemon of the Spring and Autumn Period. The king of Vietnam, Goujian, finally made himself a great success!
