What are the effects of the patriarchal system on the emergence of the traditional Chinese social structure and the formation of traditional culture?

The traditional Chinese socio-political structure, which is characterized by strong patriarchal elements and highly developed monarchical authoritarianism, has had three effects on Chinese culture:

First, the patriarchal character of the social structure has led to the formation of an ethical paradigm in Chinese culture. Its positive value is to make the Chinese nation more cohesive, pay attention to moral cultivation, and become a state of etiquette; its negative impact is to make the ethical teachings of the Three Principles and the Five Principles, "keeping reason and destroying desire," cultivating one's body and cultivating one's character, and xenophobia become obstacles to the healthy development of Chinese culture.

The second is that the authoritarian character of the Chinese social structure has led to the formation of a political paradigm in Chinese culture. The positive value of this is that it creates a holistic concept of the Chinese nation, the notion of the supremacy of the national interest, and a cultural identity in the national psyche; the negative value of this is that it makes the people of the country have a serious mentality of obedience, a superstitious belief in authority and power, and a lack of self-confidence in the individual.

Thirdly, the combination of patriarchy and authoritarianism was politically manifested as the merging of Confucianism and law, and culturally reflected as the politicization of ethics and the ethicalization of politics, which was prominently manifested in the mentality of the inner saint and the outer king, i.e., the ideal of cultivating one's body, aligning one's family with one's state, ruling the country, and leveling the world.
