Who is the representative of logicism?

Logicalism is also called "logicism". That is, "logicism in mathematical philosophy". One of the three schools of mathematical foundation and mathematical logic research. Some people think that mathematics is an extension of logic. They only study the pure logical relationship between concepts, from which all mathematics can be deduced, and all mathematics can be attributed to logic.

Its representative figures are Frege, Russell and Whitehead. Frege thinks that all mathematics can be deduced from basic logical laws, and set theory has logical nature.

He invented a set of logical symbols that were difficult to understand then and now, translated and recreated some contents of set theory into logical definitions and theorems, and then defined natural numbers, and deduced the whole arithmetic theory.

The famous Russell Paradox severely attacked Frege's idea of building mathematics on set theory. But logicism has not stopped.

Russell inherited Frege's ideas. In order to solve the crisis of mathematical foundation caused by the crisis of set theory, he proposed to deduce mathematical concepts from logical concepts and mathematical theorems from logical axioms, thus deriving all mathematical plans.
