What's the difference between industrial seedling raising of freshwater shrimp and soil pond seedling raising?

At present, there are two kinds of seedling raising methods used in production: soil pond seedling raising and factory seedling raising. The breeding process of freshwater shrimp refers to the artificial rearing of newly hatched nauplii for about 1 month, and the cultivation of larvae with a body length of about 1cm.

Factory seedling raising is an indoor cement pond seedling raising, which is a relatively modern seedling raising method. At present, it has been widely used in shrimp culture and Macrobrachium rosenbergii culture. It has also achieved quite good results in the use of freshwater shrimp seedlings. Limited by natural conditions, it can control the indoor temperature and germinate earlier than the soil pool. Moreover, the emergence of seedlings is basically simultaneous, with uniform specifications and large quantity, which is convenient for large-scale breeding. Industrial seedling raising also has the advantage of easy management. However, due to the high requirements for equipment and technology, it can not be applied on a large scale at present, and water quality control is more difficult than soil pond.

The soil pond adopts the traditional freshwater fish seedling raising technology in China. It has the advantages of less investment, quick effect and simple operation, especially the water quality changes slowly and is easy to master. It is widely used at present. However, the survival rate and exact number of shrimp seedlings in each stage can not be mastered in soil pond culture, and the yield per unit area is low, the bait is wasted, and the specifications of shrimp seedlings coming out of the pond are irregular, which is difficult to catch.
